You can easily walk to all the nightlife, dining, entertainment and ski lifts and gondola in Vail Village from this creekside condo. Enjoy your private deck that overlooks Gore Creek and faces Vail Mountain. Apollo Park enjoys an outdoor heated pool.

NO Air-conditioning, but we are at 8000 feet elevation. In the summer, opening windows cools the condo pretty quickly.

Family ski trip
Good basic ski condo. The layout of the condo is a bit awkward but it is functional. For example, the fireplace is nice but the layout of the condo does not take advantage of it. The kitchen is basic a good pans and cooking utensils. the table top appliances are very cheap. For instance, the Mr coffee machine from the 1990s does not have an automatic shut off. One humidifier was broken. The other humidifier was a cheap system that runs a fan over water. We filled the tank on arrival and ran it full on and it took a week for the single fill to be evaporated. We hung wet towels to help keep the air moist. There are areas that appear unfinished (the repairs to the bathroom ceiling should probably be painted) and the caulking in the bathroom is sloppy. The listing also advertised a grill but there was no grill on the deck or any guidance on where to find one. The walk to the Vail village is a manageable distance. Finally, you will be asked to sign a contract 1 week before your stay that asks you to indemnify the owners against everything that could possibly happen. It is an unfair one way contract. You don't get your room key instructions until you sign so no choice but to sign.If you cancel the reservation at this point, you lose the entire payment. Had I read this contract when making the reservation, I would have selected a different place

View, view, location
Lovely location with mountain view overlooking the river. The condo is "tired" with some minor blips like missing closet knob & dresser screws. This is one that seems more all out rental than owner-loved. Not much in the way of TLC, amenities, or finer touches. It's due for some renovation/remodeling. However, everything worked and the view and village access are plusses. We were a short 5 day stay. I would want something "moreso" if I were staying longer and I would definitely need laundry which it is not clear if there's anywhere one could do that nearby. If you are here to ski, we strongly encourage you to make arrangements to keep your equipment in town. It's a good hike with all of your gear (We like Vista Bahn at the base of Gondola One) but a comfortable walk without it. We had a mishap upon arrival due to flooding from an upstairs condo. Vail Management was on it immediately and had us fixed up within 24 hours. We've been to Vail often enough now, that we would definitely prioritize properties managed by them. I've heard not-so-good stories about other management companies. All in all, a nice stay and since we don't linger in the condo, it was good for us!

Good condo… could be better
As advertised. 10-min walk to Golden Peak lift (#6). Amenities were dated, but adequate. Master bedroom/bathroom could use a refresh. Teen kids thought the sofa beds were comfortable. Kitchen was ok, except for the dishwasher, which broke during our stay. None of this is to say it wasn’t a good place to stay… it was. Just could have been better.

Good location nice place
Short walk to slopes. Kept skis and boots at Vista Bahn (very affordable) next to Gondola one so was convenient to walk to slopes without gear walkway and stairs connect to stream trail. Two living areas each with pull out couch which were comfortable. large bedroom and two bathrooms made condo roomy plus balcony overlooking creek with views of slopes.

Very Good Location
Very good location, excellent apartment, with a wonderful view of the mountains. The only thing that was unclear was the check in, because I didn't know I had to download the APP to find the key code, we got lost, and in the emails it was not clear who we needed to call. I found the phone after a long time, we got in touch and the service was fast and efficient. We will definitely go again

It’s really for two people only
It really is a great location. Things for others to know: it’s a .5 mile walk to the ski gondola; it’s .4 miles to the village; no washer and dryer (they don’t advertise they have one either, just clarifying) there is 1 king bed. The pull out beds you can’t sleep on. Just too uncomfortable. A 5-7 year old kid maybe, but no adults. An sleep there. Everything was in working order. Management group responds immediately to any questions which is great. I would stay there again but only me and one other person.

You get what you pay for. The location and view from condo are amazing! Yes as others have mentioned it is a bit dated. Seems like they have updated some furniture from the pictures we saw online which was nice. Plenty of towels and linens. The downside was it was pretty loud. You could hear the people above us getting up early in the morning. Very thin walls. So thin that we got a daily and nightly marijuana smell from our neighbors. It was awful and seemed to permeate the bedding. So maybe this is more of a place not for families to stay. Besides the pot smoke we knew what we were getting and enjoyed our stay.

Vail Village just Steps Away
A comfortable, one level, open floor plan with views of the Gondala and Golden Peak runs. The unit afforded us ample dining seating for 10+ and a gas grill on the deck. Since it is on the 2nd floor, this huge plus helped move the ski equipment and luggage only steps away from ample parking. The furniture is fine with the exception of the pull out portion of one of the sofa beds. The place could use a TV in the bedroom and perhaps loose the framed posters. I question the use of carpet in some areas and recommend installing thresholds to hold down the carpet installers fray with repeated vacuuming. The owner does not cook much in that some basics are missing such as a cheese grater and some nicer pots and pans. All in all, a very favorable spot with location and cleansiness.

Nice Place - Short Walk to Vail Village
I enjoyed the property and would stay here again. It isn't on the bus line, but it is a 5 min walk down gore creek path to the covered bridge. In my mind, it is pretty convenient to all things Vail Village and then there is a short bus ride over to Lions Head if you need to be there.

Unit was very well equipped, furnishings were nice and modern along with decorations, location and views were very good. Appliances were up to date in a fully equipped kitchen. Structure needs updating as it seems to be out of the fifties with many small annoyances. Vertical drapes fell off the wall, charcoal grill needed service, floor moldings were poorly installed along with caulking in bathrooms, kitchen counter was falling off the wall, cabinets and vanity need replacement. $ spent on a little updating and maintenance would be good. Will certainly have a return visit.

Disappointing stay at the Apollo
We have stayed at the Apollo multiple times over the years. We know it is quirky and outdated, but you can't beat the price and the location. Listening to the creek and being able to walk into the village or to the park is wonderful. We have great memories of staying here with family at a variety of stages of life. Unfortunately, this will be the last time we stay the Apollo, unless they do a complete remodel or better yet, demolish the complex and start over. It has reached the point where everything is so old and gross that it is unpleasant to stay there. The kitchen cabinets are original (probably early 70s) and they are poorly stocked for cooking. The carpet was nasty and we didn't want to let our clothes touch the floor. Walls really need to be painted, they are filthy. The head board on the bed wasn't attached so every time I rolled over, it banged against the wall. The lock on the bedroom is reversed so you can only lock the door from the hallway. There is a strange, useless exterior door in the bedroom but no window, so there is no way to get fresh air into the room, and there is no air conditioning. My daughters didn't want to take a shower because the showers were "creepy." This place is like staying in a very crunchy, old, YMCA camp. It is such a bummer that the owners have not done necessary updates and upkeep because the location is great!

Absolutely loved this condo! My husband and I stayed here in April and were very pleased with our stay. The condo itself is a little bit outdated but It was very clean and cozy and was equipped with everything you need! It is also walking distance to Vail Village where you can do some shopping, grab some food and drinks and just take in the beauty of Vail Mtn. I will definetly be booking here again!
