![Kudamaattam at Thrissur Pooram
(Malayalam: തൃശ്ശൂര് പൂരം) is an annual Hindu temple festival held in Kerala, India. It is held at the Vadakkunnathan Temple in Thrissur every year on the Pooram (Malayalam: പൂരം, pronounced [puːɾam]) day - the day when the moon rises with the Pooram star in the Malayalam Calendar month of Medam. It is the largest and most famous of all Poorams.
At the end of the pooram, after the Ilanjithara melam, both Paramekkavu and Thiruvambadi groups enter the temple through the western gate and come out through the southern gate and array themselves, face to face in distant places. "I recently stayed at this hotel and found the property to be new and well-maintained, which gave it a fresh and inviting feel. However, there were some areas where housekeeping could improve. The couch in our room was noticeably dirty and should have been vacuumed before check-in. The bed was neatly made, but the sheet had a mark that was off-putting. The washrooms were decent but could benefit from more thorough cleaning. Despite these issues, the hotel stood out as a better option compared to others in the area, based on reviews we read before booking. Overall, it’s a solid choice, but attention to cleanliness details would elevate the experience.
