"This was a prime location for our tours in the Uvita and quick drive Manuel Antonio park. The home is comfortable and clean. It was nice to dip in the pool in the late afternoon before dinner. We sat sat out"

"Very private setting with awesome view. My wife & I stayed on the property for almost our entire visit to Costa Rica with the exception of making a couple of trips down the mountain to get groceries. It made for a great vacation to reconnect, relax, & lounge in the pool."

The ballena area is dispersed semi-rural with lots of areas to walk. A half km or so from the hotel is a strip of restaurants and souvenir on the road leading to the entrance to the National Park. The town center is 1.5 km distant.

No food delivery you have to go out or order take out at the place, some let you order ahead but you still pick it up. The national park has 4 entrances, ask your tour guides which one to go to because waze will take you to chaman/colonia

I honestly did not do enough research about Uvita before arriving. It is a safe and relaxing little town where you can find all your needs. I found gift shops a little overpriced. There are some nice restaurants and bars around.
