Welcome to La Posada Mountain Retreat

When you book a stay with us, you are not just booking a stay you are booking an experience of a lifetime. Our views are the ultimate best in all of Utuado. We are not like other stays, we offer VIP tours directly from the property making your stay that more special. All of our guests leave happy for a reason and we want you to be able to enjoy as much as possible and experience the best of what our town has to offer.

Your Stay is in a spacious 3 Bedroom 2 bath pristine house centrally located in the heart of Puerto Rico. If desired you can rent the lower unit a charming 1/1 unit. Together both units can comfortably sleeping up to 8-9 people. The house alone can comfortably sleep 6 persons. The elevation of the property is approximately1800ft up so the nights and mornings get very cool. You will feel right at home with features like Quiet seating areas, Full kitchen, Dining Room, Outdoor Patio Bar, and many more amenities to make your trip extra special.
*** Just added brand new heated Infinity pool overlooking the mountains and city below.
The house is located in the barrio of Roncador and it is within a short distance to the Indian Ceremonial Grounds, rivers, and waterfalls. Beaches and shopping outlets are located within 30 mins.

The space
The House features 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. The Large Cozy house features breathtaking Mountain View’s, a Smart TV with Satellite TV, A full Fridge with Freezer and a Stove/Oven. The apartment which is an additional price has a one bedroom one bathroom sleeps up to 2-3 with a pull out sofa and a mini kitchen .

Guests can enjoy the large patio areas or relax in the new heated pool. The covered porch has an outdoor bar seating space to enjoy the gorgeous views. The property is located on 3 acres with a garden you may pick fresh fruit from. Along with stables & peacocks, truly a beautiful spot.
A Great bed & breakfast home to enjoy the Puerto Rico weather all year long.

We really enjoyed our stay! Hosts went above and beyond to give us recommendations for places to eat and visit! Sunrise and sunsets were amazing! Highly suggest a stop at El Resuelve de Roncador on the way up the mountain!

Absolute paradise!
Jose and Christine were wonderful hosts! Not only did they show us around several local rivers, bars, and restaurants, but we also felt fortunate they shared their slice of paradise with us. The views from this place (and from the infinity pool!) were to die for. We were able to visit their peacocks and horses alongside the house. They shared so much rich history about PR as well, which definitely enriched our first visit to PR. This mountain retreat (and it's hosts) were the highlight of our trip, which included Old San Juan and Rincón. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We came as renters but left as friends.😊

We had the most amazing stay at Christine’s and Jose’s! The home has everything you need and the best part is the view, absolutely amazing!! The host Jose and Christine offered a VIP tour where we saw caves, rivers, cliffs and cannons! It was spectacular, one of the best day of our lives we will never forget it! La Posada Mountain Retreat has spectacular views from the infinity pool. Give yourself time to get there on the windy roads way up in the mountains. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay!

Great comfortable place, away from city buzz. a mountain getaway with horses, chickens and peacocks, and garden with herbs, orchids, guava, and pear tree. A few steps from heaven

What an amazing place!!!
We were looking for a tranquil place with adventures and we have no regrets choosing this place. It has one of the most beautiful views of Utuado, the sunrise from there is unique!! The pool can be used even at night because it is heated. IWe went to Los Arcos river and the Morones river …wonderful! Jose gave us recommendations for restaurants and places to visit, all of them excellent. Christine and Jose make you feel like family. 100% recommended!

AMAZING! Beautiful views!
Jose and Christina were absolutely great. Very welcoming and accommodating. Even though our youngest was too young to horse back ride they offered alternative things to do and even offered to babysit so the rest of the family could go. So thoughtful! We ended up enjoying the property views and the amazing pool for the time there. Jose and Christina had great restaurant recommendations and even recommended a waterfall and swimming hole on our way to the property from Cabo rojo that we loved. We hope to return when our youngest is old enough to horse back ride and enjoy the other activities. Highly recommend!

This place is just such a gem, with incredible views and things to do. But, the really special part of this place are the owners Jose and Christine. Mountain Paradise
Jose and Christine are amazing, they go above and beyond to make sure you have the ultimate experience. The location itself has everything you need and whatever it doesn’t, Jose can get it worked out for you. It is a one stop shop. We hope to stay again on our next trip to Puerto Rico. If you’re a city princess, this may not be for you. But if you’re an individual that wants to experience life away from the everyday hustle and bustle this is it.

FANTASTIC. The house is in such a beautiful area and the views are so wonderful. Honestly the views from this home is not much different than the El Yungue rainforest views. Spectacular. The host are amazing and friendly as was everyone in the area.The home is clean with horses and chickens out the front door and mountain views from the back. Jose and Christine gave us many options for the day with directions and waved us down ( they were at the bar down the road) on the way home when they saw us pass and introduced us to everyone there as well as treated us to a drink. That evening I was able to take a ride with Christine. She knew I loved riding and took me on an unforgettable evening ride with Jose riding behind to light the way. I would return in a heartbeat!!

Mountain beauty
We were looking for a home where our kids could experience more of the Puerto Rican culture and less of a resort. We had a wonderful time at La Posada. The views are breathtaking. Our hosts graciously gave us recommendations that were great and led us on a cave tour that was fabulous. You will awaken to the sound of roosters, chickens and horses. It is indoor-outdoor living. It takes about 20 minutes to get up and down the mountain but after a week we felt like pros! San Juan is about 90 minutes away but there is a lot to see closer and it is a beautiful part of the island!

We stayed in Christine and Jose’s home in late July. There were five adults and plenty of room! It was everything I was hoping for! They are the nicest, most attentive couple and made us feel like family. They gave us wonderful ideas and many invites to travel to new places and experience new things. Their home is fantastic and the view is beautiful! Waking up every morning watching the sunrise and the mountains completed our trip! Although they stay in a separate apartment in the home you would never know they were there. We had complete privacy yet they were available if we needed them. I will definitely go back and have already recommended their home to someone! Thank you Christine and Jose!!
