Cabin on 1,000 Acre Ranch between Lost Maples and Garner

Four Sisters Ranch Cabin is one of two cabins available on Four Sisters Ranch. (Kat's Kabin is the 2nd.) This is a large cabin with two queen beds on one end and a full kitchen on the other. A smart TV and a couch are in the middle of the
Four Sisters Ranch Cabin is nestled in the Texas Hill Country at 1848 Lemond Rd. about 7 miles from Utopia, Texas. The location is between Lost Maples State Natural Area and Garner State Park! We invite you to enjoy our ranch cabin and hike, bike and explore 500 acres of a working family ranch.

Sip your coffee on the back porch with a fantastic view. This is a perfect place to unwind, make s’mores around the fire pit, star-gaze, enjoy the fresh country air and escape the stresses of the city.

You can enjoy the sounds of nature, wildlife and a beautiful night sky. You may see a variety of wildlife from the porch including deer, turkey, wild hogs and hummingbirds. Fire Flies are often seen during the summer months.

Located 90 mi NW of San Antonio and 7 mi from Utopia, the cabin is 15 miles from Lost Maples State Natural Area and 23 miles from Garner State Park. The Hill Country State Natural Area is about 45 miles away.

Our curvy, scenic roads boast fantastic hill country views. Local activities: Golf in Utopia (the setting for the movie 7 Days in Utopia). Go swimming at Utopia Park on the Sabinal River, Float the Frio River. Hike at Garner Park. Go birding at Lost Maple Park. Gaze at the stars. Photograph the picturesque hill country views. BBQ on the patio. Visit Lost Maples winery. The Texas hill country is a wonderful year around birding & wildlife viewing destination! We are in one of the best areas of Texas to see the Golden Cheeked Warbler, Black Capped Vireo, Vermilion Flycatcher and more!

Dine at The Laurel Tree in Utopia (requires a reservation) and Mac & Ernies in Tarpley for a fantastic dining experience! Utopia has several cafes and sometimes great BBQ on Saturdays at Big Ern's.

The nearest airport is in San Antonio (~1.5 hr drive). Austin is an ~ 3 hour drive.

Other Things to Note; For major holidays, a three night minimum is required. We might consider a one night booking. Send us an inquiry.

Utopia is a very small community with a general store, bank, gas station, cafes and a few shops. Limited groceries are available at the general store. The nearest large grocery store and hospital is 45 miles ( Hondo, Kerrville or Uvalde). Cell phone service is very limited, only AT&T works and it is spotty.

You can also rent Kat's Kabin #913458 if you would like to bring another family with you. It is about .2 miles away.

Although the cabin is secluded, you may hear the family gathering nearby sometimes in the summer and on holidays.
Our cabin sleeps 4 on two queen beds. No more than four people and one dog are allowed unless you have prior approval by the owner. There is a full kitchen and bath. There is a smart TV with DVD player and a large selection of movies for you to enjoy. We have internet! There is a large porch on the front and back of the cabin where you can relax and watch the wildlife come to the feeder.

Note: Since the cabin is one large room, it is not suitable for young children who need a separate place to nap. Our porches do not have rails so we are not an ideal place for toddlers.

If you want to visit the State parks you must make a reservation online 30 days in advance.

GPS is not always accurate. Take Hwy 187 north from Utopia. In 3 miles go left on West Sabinal Rd. Continue until you get to Lemond Rd. Take a left on Lemond and continue (passing through 4 cattleguards) until you get to 1848. There is a rock sign on your right. Follow the Four Sisters Ranch signs at the turns.

Cutest house I’ve ever stayed in!
This is just a very relaxing area & the house is perfect size for a couple of friends or a couple. The wildlife is wonderful. The back porch was where I spent most of my time watching deer, birds, rabbits & maybe a squirrel or two. The house is beautifully decorated & had everything we needed. Coffee pots, pans for breakfast, dishes, wineglasses. Stream your own shows on the tv if you want. We had a wonderful stay & I plan on returning! Host was very helpful anytime I had a question.

Beautiful and Peaceful
We were looking for some peace and connection with nature and this cabin was perfect! So cozy and cute! Comfortable furniture and temperature inside, all the towels, linens and soap provided. Just bring your food if you want to cook! The best thing about the cabin is the outside! Two big porches with views of local wildlife and the beautiful hills and surrounding meadows. We saw deer, birds, dragonflies, rabbits, and more. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, with campfires and a connection to nature, look no further!

TRANQUIL
We reserved it due to close proximity to Garner state park. We enjoyed the evening after just sitting outside on the porch. Morning felt story like with the sounds of different birds chirping and seeing a deer and her young one eating from feeder in the back pasture. What a gem. Will definitely be back.

Quiet stay in the country
We were looking to spend relaxing time away from the noise and rush of the City. The Four Sisters Cabin was exactly what we needed. Quiet time on the porch watching the birds, deer in the pasture in the morning, some nice hiking and cycling on the ranch, and easy and pretty drives to Garner State Park and Lost Maples. And coming from Austin, it was great to see so many stars and the beautiful full moon on our visit. The cabin is nicely equipped and very comfortable. All the necessary amenities in one large room, and so many options for outdoor time. Check in was a breeze, and the owners are nearby if you need anything. We highly recommend!

Absolute paradise
The beauty of the ranch and the area just took my breath away. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the many birds that visited the back porch area. Not to mention the deer, turkeys, and rabbits. The cabin itself was absolutely charming and lacked for nothing.we enjoyed the homemade baked goods left for us, as well as the tour of the ranch. Kat was a wonderful tour guide, and we were sad to leave. It was a bit of beauty and serenity which we desperately needed.

Don't hesitate to book
A friend and I wanted to ride the Twisted Sister route on our motorcycles and I found this quaint cabin. We reserved it for two days. When we arrived it was in a beautiful area on the Four Sisters Ranch. I had gotten instructions, directions, etc. from Kat the owner about a week prior to our arrival. She even contacted me the day before with a weather update as she knew we were on bikes. Met her coming in and she was very welcoming. The cabin is awesome with porches, decks, fire pit, everything you need inside. They had coffee, bottled water and even a basket of snacks and cakes which we inhaled as we were starving when we got there. The place was spotless, the beds very comfortable. When we weren't riding we were on the back porch drinking beer and watching all the wildlife and birds. Many bird feeders, hummers, so very active on the back deck. Wild Turkey at the back door one morning. A feeder sits in the field in the back and draws abundant wildlife to watch for. TV, all channels and movies, wifi, microwave, fridge, oven, essentials all provided. there is a folder with info and a map of the ranch and they point out things of interest. They invite you to explore the entire ranch at your leisure not just the cabin area. I wish we had more time because I wanted to do some exploring. I'll definitely go back here to stay again even if I'm not motorcycling. Great two days!!! Thanks Kat!!!

A Hill Country Gem!
The cabin was perfect! Every beautiful detail giving us insight into the life and history of a Hill Country ranch. The grounds with its many bird feeders and wildflower gardens provided a rich experience. We saw about 40 species of birds on the cabin grounds and a total of 81 species including the surrounding areas! Driving on farm roads carpeted in wildflowers was a delightful plus. Highly recommended for anyone - nature lovers or birders especially! A real paradise!!

Restful, Nature Getaway with all the Comforts
The 4 Sisters Ranch Cabin fulfilled our dream of a restful getaway. We were greeted by a beautifully manicured natural oasis on the family's 1,000 acre ranch and delicious homemade cranberry bread. It was our own little hideaway from the busy world. We brought ourselves and some food. Everything was provided including seasonings, coffee, tea, linens, hairdryer and great wifi, if you wanted to check in with the real world. Our contact was attentive and made sure we had a wonderful time. We cannot wait to go back! The bird feeders were full, and the hummingbirds never stopped coming. We didn't want to leave. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful, family ranch!

Way Exceeded Our Expectations
Quiet, solitude, peace, deer, turkey, songbirds, hummingbirds, and rural wildlife are words to only begin a description of the Four Sisters Ranch. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and everything worked. It is obvious the owners take pride in this cabin and the overall property. You too will notice lot's of attention to small details. In summary, this property way exceeded our expectations. We look forward to returning and would not hesitate to highly recommend the Four Sisters Cabin.
