First of all, Montmorillon is a charming little gem in the southeastern part of Vienne, and is perfect for an overnight excursion or as a stopping point when traveling across France … and La Bicyclette Bleue is the perfect place to stay. It is located just minutes on foot from the center of Montmorillon and everything you want to see and do is easily accessible. "Lovely gite, nice couple very friendly but unfortunately whilst decor etc was lovely for me the basics need tweaking a bit ie: no freeze box, no blinds in the bedrooms, no WiFi and I had to climb into the bath to set the taps for the children to have a shower/bath which I found quite difficult with an arthritic hip. On the plus side there is a full size cooker, microwave and a washing machine so I was able to go home with a clean suitcase of washing. There were dvds to watch, bikes to ride and...

"Excellent restaurant which was a pleasant surprise, nice grounds to exercise the dog only small quibble was €30 charge per night for dog to stay which appears to have shot up since Covid🤔. Very close to motorway network so straight back onto to journey following morning. "
