"Great location with several restaurants, shops and entertainment (primarily on weekends) available within walking distance. Even with our room overlooking a busy street it was very quiet. {Heard an ambulance late one night, not an issue and understandable}. Staff was awesome! The two women we had the pleasure of speaking with at the front desk were friendly, professional and very helpful. The cleaning staff were also all very pleasant and greeted you each time they saw you, in addition to taking good care of us and our room. I appreciated the underground parking garage however it is a bit tight to maneuver in/out some spots. And a bit expensive but worth it to not be parked on the street or in an open lot. We didn't eat in the restaurant. Since they didn't have anything meeting my very strict dietary requirements, I can't attest to the quality or service. If ever we go back to Oxford, I would absolutely stay at The Oliver again. "

"I like old refurbished places. I am curious about the ceiling in my room, I had the upgraded room, suite on the third floor. It either was designed not to be painted by the interior decorator or it needs to be painted. It still has a bear concrete finish?!"

"I love staying at LaQuinta in Oxford, MS. The people at the front desk are very nice and helpful. The only complaint I have is the housekeeping staff. They were so loud and rude, yet they wonder why they call them n*ggers."
