Located on the waters edge The Bayou Bungalow is a family style lodge for those who want the comfort of home and yet have a hideaway of their own. Decorated with the latest up to date style. With a large living area, very clean lodge you will want to return year after year. The Bayou Bungalow is located on the banks of the Bayou De Chein, a natural bayou that leads to the North East side of the Upper Blue Basin. SMOKE FREE LODGE AND NOW WITH FAST FREE WIRELESS INTERNET SERVICE!!!

NO NEED FOR ICE, THE BUNGALOW IS EQUIPPED WITH A ICE MAKER AND A FREEZER FULL OF BAGGED ICE.
PLEASE JUST REUSE THE BAGS AND REFILL.


After launching your boat at the nearby launch you can then bring your boat up to the Bungalow. From there you will be able to access the lake and fish all species of fish like crappie, bream, catfish, and large mouth bass. Just hop in your boat and take off. Since the Bayou Bungalow is situated next to a national wildlife refuge you'll enjoy all types of wildlife. Those who have stayed at the Bungalow immediately book again for another visit. They say this place is the best vacation rental on Reelfoot Lake. Plan ahead to obtain your license via the internet. Just type in Tennessee fishing license in your search and you will find the link. We just want to be sure you can take full advantage of your precious time off. CHECK IN TIME 3:00 PM CHECK OUT 10 AM

Next door to the lodge is the largest Purple Martin Colony in Walnut Log. With 52 nesting pair you will find watching this beautiful bird very breathtaking. The martin season starts late February and ends usually around mid to late June or early July. Now is the time to plan your vacation.

Solitude at the Lake
The bungalow is clean. The yard is manicured. The host has all you need. NOW !!! You have a dock to sit on & watch the water. You can hear the frogs, see the fish feeding, watch the dragonflies & lightning bugs, see water plants, hear & watch the purple martins. Such a great outdoors experience. We thought we would sightsee but ended up just enjoying & appreciating nature. Thanks so much for sharing this with others.

Very Isolated
Needs some repair and updating, very isolated, if you fish it would work but nothing else to do. Can not go in water. All house needs there. Felt some holes in floor covered by carpet. Description does not meet actual house. Not a bungalow, an old cabin.

Fantastic place
We always try to stay here when we visit relatives down the road. The owners are fantastic and all the neighbors are very friendly. The place is always clean and well maintained. Nice relaxing getaway.
