Our favorite vacation rental ever
We spent five nights at this amazing property and it is by far one of the most beautiful and serene places we’ve ever stayed. The photos are truly representative of the farm’s many wonderful spaces. Everywhere you look the view is stunning. The early light barely illuminating the horses as they graze in the morning fog, the deer feeding in the upper field at twilight and the moon and stars shining brightly over the pond are images that will stay with us. Time passed slowly as we walked around the fields, curled up in one of the many comfortable chairs to read and enjoyed meals on the deck overlooking the pond and meadow. The immaculate farmhouse is beautifully furnished. Stacie is a great host. We cannot say enough about her and her amazing property. We look forward to returning.

Spectacular property
My family has stayed in many VRBO properties, this is above and beyond any property I have ever visited. The home is quaint and comfortable. The pictures do not do the home justice. You feel like you are stepping into your own home the moment you set foot inside. Stacey is a wonderful, friendly, informative host. We received a text about an hour before we arrived, she was checking to see how our trip was going and asking how close we were to arrival. I have never had a host contact me just see how we were doing!! As I said the home is wonderful but the star of this rental is the immaculate property. From the lake, to the rolling hills, the Mountain Views, the horses, the birds, the resident beaver in the lake and the adorable cats that visit everyday, this is the most relaxing place I have ever visited. Cannot wait to visit again. If 10 stars were possible that is the rating I would give this wonderful farm

Beautiful property
From the initial inquiry to booking, check-in, and check-out, Stacey was great with communication and answered all the questions that I had. We also had two additional guests for a few days during our stay, and Stacey was very accommodating. Her home is uniquely curated and has wonderful 360 views, and thoroughly enjoyed staying at her property.

Beautiful, Relaxing Home Away From Home!!
This deserves more than a 5-star rating! I will start by saying Stacey is a phenomenal host. She promptly replied back to my texts and made sure we had everything we needed to have a great time. The property is amazing and pictures don’t do justice. We woke up every morning to the beautiful view of the horses and the land. We had breakfast in the backyard gazebo over-looking the pond and the land. We spent our time going back and forth between visiting the horses, relaxing by the pond, and most importantly enjoying the peace and quiet that this property has to offer. Our dog got along with the horses, the dog, and the cats on the property and he had the most fun! The house is stocked up and honestly felt like a hotel…and more. To our surprise, Stacey had a central A/C unit installed and we were able to have the entire first floor with A/C. This helped our dog tremendously as he gets hot easily. We had the pleasure of meeting Stacey on our last day and she is beyond an amazing host. She goes above and beyond to make her guests feel right at home. We’ve stayed at a few cabins ever since the pandemic started and this is by far the best stay. I can go on and on, but needless to say, we had a great time and will be returning back!

Cooperstown ASV week
Generally had a nice stay at the property. Beautiful surroundings and great for quiet getaway. Stacey was receptive to any questions we had and was generally flexible. However, one big issue is the lack of air conditioning. The listing says that is is air conditioned, but it is only in one bedroom. The primary bedroom and main floor do NOT have air conditioning. Temperatures were high the week we were there and it was a bit uncomfortable to live and sleep at times. She insisted that she was clear about the limitedA/C on the VRBO listing, but I was unable to find any mention of it. If you want A/C, don’t rent this place. When we asked for a night’s credit, Stacey became a bit combative and proceeded to complain about how we “sorted the garbage” and found some grass in the hot tub filter. While I thought we were thoughtful renters, she made us feel like we were disrespectful and unwanted. We left the house very clean and felt we respected the property. We won’t be renting again and don’t recommend to others that want A/C and a more gracious host. The location was so nice that I have to give it a 3.

Peaceful family time. This property is everything you think it is. We spent time on the water(fishing & swimming), hiking around the property, fires at the fire pit, gazing at the stars (and the international space station flying over) , and playing games around the huge kitchen table. Stacey was an amazing host and communication with her was prompt and always helpful. The house is amazing. The beds were all comfy. Everything we needed was at the house (kitchen fully equipped, bathroom had soap shampoo & towels). Our family needed a peaceful retreat and this property gave us just that. Thank you Stacey for everything!!

BEST UPSTATE NY GETAWAY
This house is an amazing tucked away gem in upstate NY. Its a perfect long weekend getaway for anyone looking to escape for a few days in a secluded country setting. The first thing I must note is the pond, it is by far the cleanest and most perfectly kept pond you will ever swim in. There were no lil-pads, cat-tails or weeds and the fresh spring stream that runs through it kept the water moving like a natural pool filter. So there is no pond scum floating nor stagnant water smell. And most important NO MOSQUITOS! The Hot Tub provides an amazing view and a great warm refresher after the swim. The house was perfectly clean and Stacey was always on call for anything that you may need. Our kids loved the farm setting, wild life and horses. As well as hours exploring the surrounding trails. She is a AAA host and her property is top notch, we will definitely be staying here again.

Wonderful!
This is our second time staying at the farm and I can not say enough good things about this gem of a place. It’s the perfect little getaway for our family. Kids spend hours at the pond while we relax. Views are to die for. We enjoy all meals outdoors on the covered porch. Hot tub is the perfect way to end the day. We had the pleasure of meeting Stacey this year, she made sure we had dry fire wood for our campfire, took my kids to meet the horses and for a ride on the property and as always answered all my questions immediately before and during our stay! We will be back next summer!

Lovely getaway
We had a very nice time hanging out as a family in the lovely kitchen of this home and sharing meals! The pond on the property is great fun to boat around, and our kids had a blast fishing, watching tadpoles and catching newts. The animals (including charming cats, dogs and horses) who live here are wonderful! And the birds are delightful to watch throughout the property. We had a rainy weekend so did not get to adventure out on the hiking trails; but the land is beautiful. Communication with the host is great and she is super kind!

Lovely in Every Way!
Chapin Brook Farm was clean and tidy with all the necessities available (towels and linens, coffee pot and cooking stuffs, etc.). The property is simply gorgeous: we were there in mid-May and spring was emerging in its full glory. Although every day was sunny and warm, the house did not get hot. There are windows everywhere with lovely views and it is easy to get the perpetual breeze to blow through the house. Stacey was quick to respond to texts and was friendly. We will definitely return to CBF!

Wonderful Serene Farmhouse Visit
Such a beautiful antique farmhouse atmosphere. Everything was SO clean! There were plenty of great amenities. Even though it was pretty cloudy and raining most of the time it didn't put a damper on our fun. The views were just gorgeous and soaking in the hot tub at night that overlooks the pond was amazing. Stacey was so nice and super helpful, we set up a visit with her horses in the barn nearby, they are friendly and soft! Our daughter loved having so much space to run around whether in the house, on the porch, or through the fields. She became friends with Button and Nikki, the two cats on the property, very quickly. They were very friendly and it was a great first introduction to cats for her. The bedroom on the first floor was big enough to fit a pack n' play and still had a lot of room (we brought two sound machines and a travel blackout curtain for naps). There was a ton of wildlife, so many different types of birds and ducks and turkeys, as well as herds of deer. I couldn't help but laugh everytime I heard gobbling in the forest. We hope to visit again!

Amazing Stay!
While our stay was short (and the weather was at times was less than ideal), it was incredible. The view from all angles of the house was beautiful. I loved getting up early one morning to see the sunrise in the wide sky, and then go on a walk through the fields/woods (with the adorable Barn cat following me all the way). We loved eating outside or exploring when it was nice and cozying up with a book or the provided Roku when it wasn’t. The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was super comfortable. We are already planning to stay here again before our wedding next year! Stacey was easy to reach and answered all of our questions very promptly. The area is definitely remote so plan to do your own cooking. Saying that, we had a great meal/time at Ommegang Brewery and a great lunch at Undercover Eggplant (on Stacey’s recommendation). We had a great time!

Magical Getaway
The property is gorgeous. It consists of a long ranch style home with a front patio that is perfect for morning sunrises and coffee and a back porch/deck/sheltered gazebo that is ideal for afternoon and evening entertaining and watching the sunset. The master bedroom has a door/window that has no curtain looking out to the South, which features a massive and beautiful tree, two very friendly horses in the pasture, and a sunrise colored sky without the direct sunlight, so ideal for waking up to some nice soft light. The house was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with all sorts of cooking equipment and utensils (including a waffle maker and bakeware on top of the usual suspects). A lot of birds come and go from the various bird feeders around the house; there is almost no light pollution which allows for great night sky gazing with the house's telescope. I literally saw the individual craters of the moon and all the constellations. The pond was frozen over when we stayed in mid March enough so that we could walk on it. Other features include: a well kept wood burning stove that really heats up the place well, as well as a normal HVAC system, a hot tub on the south porch right outside the bedroom which is also a great star gazing location, and a few trails along the back of the property. Oneonta and Bainbridge are close by that also have a few trails and restaurants/stores. There is a great crystal shop on the way to Oneonta that is massive and well priced and the owners are super personable. You really must stay here if you can. We plan to come back as much as possible!

Wonderful, relaxing, beautiful property! We had a terrific low-key long weekend
This is a well-kept, lovely home on a lovely plot of land with a pond, rolling hills and horses to watch from the deck, and was the perfect retreat for our long weekend of R&R. My wife enjoyed perusing the antique shops nearby while I soaked the afternoon away in the hottub, watching the birds and the clouds and just generally enjoying life. The property manager was courteous and helpful, kind, friendly and just all-around wonderful. The house came appointed with everything we needed - we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and the outdoor grill, just lounging on the deck, and using the telescope to look at the moon and planets (cloud cover permitting, of course!) Highly recommended! Enjoy!

Amazing week at Chapin Brook Farm
This place is a great place to get away, unwind and relax. Not only is it beautiful, but also so serene. We swam in the pond, used the hot tub, star gazed, used the fire pit, grilled and hiked! My daughter fell in love with the barn cat and visiting the horses on the property was so cool. If you’re into breweries, check out Muddy River Brewery. Also, Covered Bridge Farmer’s Market is a great place to get corn, veggies and berries. Stacey was a great host and answered all of my questions as soon as she could. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Great Getaway
We had a nice relaxing stay. The property is so beautiful so just sitting and looking at the view is something to do. The kids liked to swim and boat in the pond. Between looking for frogs, watching the hummingbirds or seeing two rainbows, nature kept us entertained. The house was comfortable to stay in. There isn’t air conditioning throughout the house so the first day we got there being over 90, it was a little sticky. We just used the pond to cool off. If you are looking for a getaway for some peace and quiet, this is a great place!

Relaxing retreat
The property was very quiet, serene, and relaxing. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. We had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tub, swimming in the pond, and exploring the property. The kids especially liked campfires at night and star-gazing. We wished the fishing in the pond was better (only one or two nibbles the whole weekend), but everything else on the property made up for that. We would stay here again. We all had a great time.
