"My wife and I found the staff to be extremely down to earth people. The small village of Gimmewald does not have a lot of amenities but we loved how authentic and unspoiled it is. "We used the Alpine Apartments for several nights during a bicycle tour. They had a safe, secure bike storage area in each building. Access to the bike path was easy, making trips into town for groceries quite fast. Also close to the train station. Apartments are like new, with a nice kitchen, clothes washing machine, heated drying rack, dishwasher, and large refrigerator. "

"This location is a bit up the mountain (I'm sure it is fantastic for skiing but we visited in August). As such, it is away from the nutty tourist centre and the views are fantastic. The local bus service is super efficient and a brilliant way to get to the top if you do not want to hike the slope up. The flat itself is spacious and bright. It was amenable to self-catering, and had excellent laundry facilities."
