I love the city and people
Like any city, it has its issues, the biggest probably being pollution. However, I visited the city by myself, a single woman; no one else was with me, and I never felt unsafe. I walked everywhere, even at night. Friendly people, very safe.
It's definitely worth going out on your own in the city, once you're comfortable. You'll need a tour to the national parks. I found the monuments and places to visit slightly underwhelming, but Mongolia has a low population. It's worth a 2nd look.
Very congested, too many cars and crazy traffic.
Weird town. Horrible traffic. Unable to drain rainwater - like they did not put a sewer system under the roads. 2/3 of the cars seem to be the Toyota Prius.
Very chill, safe, and enjoyable city. Very walkable. Good variety of restaurants and nightlife.
