We stayed here 2 years ago for another game. The house is charming with beautiful views (we had some snow) . Speaking of snow the owners had the step scraped off for us up on arrival. Comfy and cozy - warm and spacious ... really enjoy home Our kids love it as well
I loved staying in this home. It was beautifully remodeled and extremely well-kept. It was clean and well-appointed. We would definitely stay here again!
Fabulous place to stay - especially in the Fall. The house was meticulously clean and decorated to a T. The hosts, Laura and Matt, are very attentive. Loved waking up to a view of the cows. Will stay again for sure.
Everything was as described in the listing. Hosts were great to work, kind and very accommodating. Place is very nice and clean. Would stay here again and again!
Great weekend with sister visiting my Penn State son
My sister and I stayed here again after renting the property last year. It did not disappoint! The house is amazing. Very cozy and updated. We had a wonderful stay visiting my son at PSU.
This house is absolutely charming and cozy. Very peaceful country setting! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone that wants a country, quiet and a very tastefully updated home! Matt was very nice and easy to communicate with.
We stayed here while visiting Penn State. The house is amazing. A very comfortable, clean and welcoming home. The area is very pretty and relaxing. We definitely enjoyed a nice weekend in the country!
We had a fabulous stay. My nephew attends PSU and his mom (my twin) and I came to visit him for the weekend. We enjoyed our visit but love coming back to this cozy retreat after our visit. This house has been beautifully renovated. Looking forward to staying here again.
This is a beautiful newly renovated property. My fiancée made comments about moving in lol. We were in town to support our daughter for the Olympic Trials in State college. The drive was very scenic going in and out of the property. If we are even in Pennsylvania (hopefully in 4 years) we will be on the lookout for this property.
Everything was perfect for our family's visit together! This historic property has been beautifully renovated with all the necessary amenities. We loved cooking in the kitchen and on the grill as well as relaxing on the porch enjoying the serenity. The location was close enough for the Penn State game but far enough away to escape the crowds of State College. The communication and hospitality by the hosts was the fantastic. The pictures do not this property justice, it is like a resort that we did not want to leave. We are definitely planning on returning!
We stayed in Matt's beautifully-renovated log home while participating at the State College Horse Show and were delighted by everything that the home offered... from the smell of fresh paint to the appreciated little extras like travel-sized toiletries, cleaning supplies, and K-cups. Every detail in the house has clearly been thoroughly-considered, making our stay fantastic from start to finish. Matt was a fantastic communicator, even checking in with us mid-stay to see if all was well and anything was needed.
We can't say enough about the home and our stay and will absolutely return!
Beautiful, scenic ride to this cabin which has amazing views from the property… every window has a beautiful view. The top of the stairs overlooks cows grazing in a pasture, the side windows overlook a picturesque farm and there is even a babbling stream right across the street. A very peaceful setting. This is a quality renovation of a historic home….every piece of furniture and every detail is quality as well. A modern kitchen which would be a dream to cook in. A cozy living room to watch tv or read in at night. We loved the soft cozy blankets which were provided. A few minutes after we arrived, we got to see the running of the sheep right past the cabin in the street….the cows even came down to watch!! …..a memory me and my daughter will never forget. We came to stay for my sons graduation weekend at PSU. I was so happy to find this listing and it exceeded our expectations. The check in was a breeze and Matt even checked in on us to see if there was anything we needed. Would love to come back and have more time to relax and enjoy the home and property !
Stayed during parent and family weekend at PSU. House is absolutely beautiful, clean, serene and comfortable. Decorated beautifully. Comfortable beds and living room area. Great place to retreat from PSU. Not much around so bring your groceries or plan to eat out back in State College.
