"We loved the location, and it's was fun to visit with the animals. Wish we were able to sample some of the chicken eggs. There is a bit of deferred maintenance, some water damage in the kitchen. Would also have been great if there was a hair dryer available, especially as the weather gets colder. All in all a fun stay at a farm with a great location."

"5 stars plus. Perfect for our family to celebrate Thanksgiving together. The home was very comfortable and very well appointed. The surrounding property was picturesque. I absolutely loved having hiking right out the back door. Loved this property and being able to bring our corgi was a huge bonus. and will return. "

"We gathered for Thanksgiving and the house was perfect. Comfortable beds and bedding and a huge space to all be together. The fire pit and yard games were so much fun. We walked around the beautiful property and went into Charlottesville for the day. Great location would highly recommend. "

"The house and property were beautiful. My husband got to fish a few times in the river. We walked on the property a lot. Communication was great with Glen. He was very quick to respond to problems. The house was on a stunning secluded piece of land outside Charlottesville and offered incredible views. The house was very well appointed and they certainly thought of everything. "Our stay in this historic countryside farmhouse was wonderful! This old house is so charming and quirky. The house has plenty of seating, eating space, bedrooms and we loved the coffee bar setup. The land is beautiful and so peaceful. We enjoyed walking the farm, watching the cows and listening to the stream. There is so much to do outside with the firepit area, basketball/tennis court, ladder ball, cornhole, etc. We really enjoyed our three days there. Ian was a terrific host...responding...

The property is a true retreat, with a tranquil stream running through the yard and a spacious, fenced-in area that was perfect for enjoying the outdoors in privacy. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The highlight was definitely the serene surroundings.
