COTTAGE WITH PRIVATE POOL TWO BLOCKS TO BEACH

This is truly a special place to create some great memories. The charm of a vintage cottage by the sea is complemented with a modern kitchen and baths.

Restored 1940’s Tybee Island cottage offers three bedrooms and three full baths and two outdoor showers. The open living, dining, and kitchen on the first floor offer a cozy gathering space. The screen porch out front fits perfectly into the idealistic summer at the beach. Outback the in-ground saltwater pool offers the perfect retreat from a day at the beach. Enjoy grilling and dining on the patio and sunbathing on the roof deck accessed by an outdoor spiral stair. In colder seasons you may choose the option to heat the pool. We have a propane pool heater that can be used for a $55 per day fee to heat the pool to 88 degrees when temperatures are 65 degrees or more. Fuel costs require a charge of $75per day during lower temperatures. Use of the solor cover when the pool is not being used is critical in helping keep these rates and maintaining the pool temperature. Please communicate in advance if you want to use this option as an additional payment will be needed.

We only have our cottage available through VRBO and their partners. If you happen upon our home on a different rental platform please know it may not be a valid offering.

The home is about 1,100 sq ft and maximizes the use of each space. This is truly a cottage home with details including cypress wood walls, pine floors, exposed joist and wood ceilings. The kitchen brings in a modern touch with stainless architectural appliances contrasted by bracketed cabinetry and a farm sink.

The shed is stocked with beach chairs and bikes for your use. The driveway can park 3 cars

While our cottage can sleep up to 8 people our rates are based on a 6 person occupancy. Guests beyond 6 will have an additional guest fee.

Girls Getaway
This is a lovely place to spend a week with friends. Very clean, quiet and it is within walking distance to the beach and shops . The hosts made us feel welcome and were very responsive with any questions or issues. Definitely would stay here again!

Excellent Beach Cottage

This cute little house is just as listed. Very clean, very well stocked, and just around the corner from our favorite restaurant Sting Ray's and all the shops. Our host was very responsive with communication. We had a great time and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Best Little Cottage on the island
This has got to be the best place to stay on Tybee. It’s been so lovingly restored, keeping the best of the older cottage, with all new, modern appliances. I could gladly spend 6 months here. We were well cared for — concierge service with no visible human!

Charming cottage
We LOVED this home! From the moment we walked in, it felt like we have been there many times. The backyard with the pool was wonderful, the bikes included gave our older kids a little freedom to ride around the neighborhood. Walking distance to so many great restaurants and the beach. Can’t say enough good things, this house was perfect!

Another great stay
This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at this property, and it’s fantastic. The owners are quick to respond to questions, the location is perfect to walk to both the beach and restaurants. We utilized the pool every day, and the bikes that are available with the property. The property is very clean, instructions are clear, and the little things, like snacks and coffee available when u arrive are great, especially with a late arrival. We rarely go to the same place twice, but we enjoyed our first visit so much, we not only returned to Tybee, but stayed at the same property. We will definitely be returning to this property

Wonderful stay at the cottage
Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Tybee Island Cottage. It is obvious that the home is well loved as it has been updated with many beautiful amenities. The property owner was extremely communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was well stocked and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The kids loved the pool! We also loved having shops and restaurants within walking distance. We fell in love with Tybee Island and the cottage and look forward to returning!

Lovely cottage
We (three friends) really enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage. It was a bit chilly for the pool, but we loved relaxing on the patio and rooftop deck. We used the beach chairs one day when we went to the beach - it was nice that they were available. We also enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the mornings and evenings. We would definitely come back again!

Great place to rent on Tybee Island
We stayed for 2 weeks and it was a great getaway. Check-in was easy! The home is well-appointed and very clean. All of the towels and bedding are high quality. A nice welcome basket greeted us on arrival with snacks and bottled water. It has updated TVs, Good cable service, a Sonos stereo system & good WiFi. The kitchen is well-equipped and the appliances are newer and up-to-date. The under-counter ice maker was convenient and we never had to go "get ice". We enjoyed the bikes for getting around the island. It had new chairs and an umbrella for our days at the beach. The pool is very nice and the area around it is fenced in and private so it feels like your own retreat. Our hosts were very good at communicating both before and during our stay and were very accommodating. They sincerely want you to have a positive experience while you are staying there. The location is within easy walking distance of the beach, shops, and several restaurants and bars. A+++ rating from us.

Sweet February Getaway
We wanted to escape the chilly blizzards of the Northeast, so we decided to visit Tybee Island. It was our first time in the area, and it was perfect for our family of five. The house was clean and bright, with beautiful pine hardwood floors. The neighborhood was quiet, with plenty of people walking their dogs and biking. We took advantage of the available bikes at the house. We barely used our car during our visit except when we drove to Savannah to explore. We rented smaller bikes for our younger kids at Fat Tire (a great place!) because the cruisers were too big for them. We biked all day to the beach, to the lighthouse and marine science center, and even to the IGA for some provisions. The house is within walking distance of the beach and several restaurants. My oldest child and I would take a jog in the morning to see the sunrise and then grab a little bite to eat at Mi Vida. That all sounds review-y, but it really was great! So, as a whole, I would highly recommend this house and the area. The positive reviews are spot-on. The owners are lovely and very quick to respond to any issues. For example, the pool heater was acting up, and they had people working on it. We visited during the off-season, so I'm not sure how crazy Tybee gets during the height of the season. For us, the cozy cottage, the kind GA personalities, and the warmer-than-average-temps made for an amazing winter getaway. **Also to note: Captain Derek's Dolphin tour at sunset was worth it. **

Fantastic cottage, something for everyone
We arrived to find the cottage better than expected. The kids loved having the pool (which we heated), they were in it multiple times a day. The outdoor showers were great to get the kids rinsed off. Actually the fact that there are 3 showers inside meant everyone could get ready for dinner or outings quickly! The walk to the beach is less than 10 minutes. The bikes were great to ride to the south beach access to watch the sunset (but too large for our almost 9-year old), we used them to go to the IGA to get small grocery items a couple times too. We cook a lot, so our main grocery runs we’re to Publix and Kroger off island (20 min away). The kitchen was very well appointed. The appliances are higher end (whisper quiet dishwasher, touchscreen oven). The cookware is nice, we used the grill almost daily. There are plenty of dishes (but more covered bowls would be nice, we left a few plastic ones with lids behind). The laundry room is separate from the house, the pool towels are nice. We could have used more bathroom bath mats, but there were plenty of towels. The pillows are ready for replacement. But seriously, that’s the only thing I would change about the whole place. The artwork is beautiful and tasteful. The dining table and outdoor patio tables are large. There is so much space in such a small place, it’s kind of amazing. The reviews and photos just don’t do it justice. I would definitely come back!!

We have stayed in many VRBO properties all over, this by far was the nicest, cleanest property. Everything you need and more! The home is well maintained and nothing has been skimped on! They house looks small from the outside but they have utilized every inch of space to make it feel very spacious. Would highly recommend! The owners were very helpful, and friendly!

I would give them 10 stars if I could! We come to tybee a couple times a year and this is my favorite stay so far. The hosts are amazing and the communication is great. They have everything you could need at the house. The pool was amazing, the house is beautiful and we had the best time. Definitely stay here!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this stay was! The hosts were EXTREMELY responsive to my inquiries prior to our stay. The arrival was so easy and stress free! Perfect weekend getaway on Tybee
We had an absolutely wonderful time at this property! We rented it for a friend weekend getaway. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach, in a quiet and safe neighborhood. While it was sometimes tricky to get lyfts/ubers around the island, it didn’t take away from our experience. The house itself was stunning and spacious, with plenty of room for the 6 of us to stay comfortably. The pool was a great bonus, and the owners were incredibly responsive and communicative throughout our stay. One thing to note is that two of the twin beds are trundles, which worked well for us but could be helpful to know for future guests. All in all, it was a perfect getaway, and I highly recommend this property- would absolutely stay here again!

One of the best!
Explored Tybee Isalnd for our 10th Anniversary! This is one of the best and cleanest VRBO’s we’ve stayed at. It felt like an old friend or family was hosting us with all the “extras”. Coffee, snacks, lemonade set out for us. Perfect location on Tybee. We loved walking over to the Back River. Quiet area, but again close to everything. Highly recommend. Thanks for the great stay!
