"Was a good location. We could walk to the ice cream store, a restaurant and the beach. Had lots of places to sit outside, provided beach chairs and beach towels. We had parking. Good breakfast, but no choices. I think they would accommodate allergies though."

"The innkeeper, Rick, is a wonderful Scotsman with a wealth of historical knowledge about the inn and the area (and more). He cheerfully greeted us every morning wearing a kilt of his family tartan. Every morning he also lovingly made a wholesome breakfast and made my husband and I feel like family. I wholeheartedly recommend booking the Desoto Bed and Breakfast for a comfortable stay steeped in tradition. "

"Stayed here for a mother-daughter trip & loved it! Very clean rooms, delicious breakfast, & a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. Beach towels and other basics are provided to you. Only a few minutes from the marine science center, lighthouse, etc. My only tiny complaint is that our room on the first floor was a little tight and would probably be better for a solo traveler, but I know they can’t do much regarding room sizes! Overall 5 stars :)"

All good except pool was empty/being repaired and an adjacent interior hallway was going through a major painting project as we walked through. Still enjoyable.
