Gooseberry Trailside Suites have recently been upgraded and offer a relaxing, cozy and updated place to stay while you explore all the North Shore of Lake Superior has to offer. This property borders Gooseberry State Park, the most popular state park in Minnesota, with access to the Nordic skiing and mountain biking trail system right out the back door. Guest can also jump onto the Gitchi Gami State trail for those who want to bike or rollerblade on a smooth paved trail with access just across the road.

With the close proximity to Gooseberry Falls and Splitrock Lighthouse, as well as Two Harbors, Duluth and Lutsen, there are year-round opportunities to venture out to go hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, sightseeing, swimming and much more!

Great for groups both large and small, there are 4 - two-bedroom, 3-bed, one bath apartment style suites on the property that can be reserved individually or together for a total of 24 people. Lester Suite is carpeted and no pets allowed.

Each suite has its own entrance as well as its own deck with a grill and outdoor dining table. In addition, we've added a beautiful new fire pit area, for a quiet evening with smore's and quality family time. The sauna just adds to that North Shore experience!

Quaint vacation rental in prime location
We loved the location and quietness of the property. We ventured out most days but would love to return and explore some of the trails from the listing. Appreciated the little details and amenities it offered.

We had a great stay over the long Fourth of July weekend. The property was exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the gas grill was really nice for preparing dinner for our family. The location was awesome, right next to gooseberry Falls and close to two harbors town. Everything was clean and comfortable and we had a great visit.

Great stay
We had to come up for a funeral service and usually stay with family as we are originally from the area. We decided to get a VRBO for this stay instead and were very impressed by this place. With the close proximity to Gooseberry, we decided to drive over since we never made time to go when we lived here. We had a nice relaxing stay and will definitely keep this place in mind for the future

One of my new favorite places to stay on the north shore! It was clean, high quality bedding, comfy furniture. Sauna was great. Loved the access to hiking right out the door. Definitely recommend. Host was responsive and helpful.

Everything was great about our stay. Extremely clean and cozy. The fireplace and lake view were awesome. Great place to base camp in the spring while we hiked and looked for rocks. You do get a little noise from the adjacent units but it didn't bother us. Will definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

This is such a perfect spot for anybody who enjoys hiking, with the Gooseberry Falls State Park just out the back and the Gitchi Gami trail across the road. Very comfortable during our stay.
