"Stay for 4 nights March 2025. Rooms and bed comfortable. The shower was great. Had a power cut in village when there but breakfast staff managed to still provide a cooked breakfast. Good portions of food which set us up for a day of exploring. Menu is not extensive but the food is really nice. Staff friendly. Enjoyed our stay "

"Fantastic wee inn, very comfortable, clean, warm rooms with big beds and great shower room/toilet. We arrived very late so didn’t get to enjoy the pub but it looks very cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and lots of choices. Host was brilliant, accommodating us arriving late and cooking our delicious breakfast. I hope we have need to come back!"

"Value for money. Yes it’s on the A1 but don’t let that bother you. Inside you can’t hear a thing and all bedrooms are on the opposite side and overlooking the fields to Banburgh Castle and the frame isles lighthouse. The property is in a convenient position to get to many places. Such as the Castle, Holy island, Seahouses and Berwick on Tweed. Good is excellent and the staff are great and friendly. Thanks "
