I love this hotel, it's only my second stay but the pool is lovely, the staff are super friendly and real, and the breakfast is great. However, the shower head fell down on my friend, and hit her in the chest. She tried to put it back on, it fell down again and hit her. She gave up at this point. I then tried to screw it back in, which seemed to work, but it then crashed to the tiles as soon as the water was turned on. I rang reception - the person there went into a meltdown, didn't apologise, just said the maintenance person would be there in an hour and to wait - the person was hard to understand. I waited until after the maintenance person should have started. Nothing. I rang reception again, spoke to someone else who apologised immediately, offered a shower in another room. She came to the door with the key promptly. Shower was on another floor, but at least then we could have a shower and get to breakfast - very hungry at this point and running late. When I checked out, I returned the keys, asked if there was any compensation for the injury my friend had suffered, staff said they would consult management and be in touch. Nothing. A week has passed. Disappointing.

Rydges Coolangatta is an excellent choice for the GC saty or a short visit. Excellent rooms, easy access and parking. Great staff who know just what you need and how to get it. Great dining. What more can you want....

There was noise from the plumbing when the neighbour room used their bathroom. We were not allowed for a late check-in. Thw restaurant is ok but there is not much choice for food in the area. You could drive to town but you loose the parking spot. I found a couple of hairs in the shower.

It’s a very nice hotel and very well priced. There’s not much around but that’s understandable given that it’s next to the airport. A car is handy for dinners but the car park does fill up quickly.

When going down for late lunch, I ordered and paid then sat and waited, then was informed that the kitchen was closed except for pizzas, I believethe new staff membershould have known and there should have been someoneto show her how to do a refund back onto card. Also very disappointed you dont have childrens menu on room service, they stay there also!!!
