I’ve rented many properties through VRBO and communication with this owner was the best I’ve ever had. Leira was very responsive all the way through check-out…..huge plus.
Now to the cabin……Great location, located in a cul de sac and everyone around extremely friendly which is always nice….especially in these trying times. Upon entering the cabin, myself and guests were impressed with the how clean and how cute the cabin was decorate. Everything is on the newer side and very homey. It was quite warm in the cabin and the fridge was warm which took a while to get cold so we had to put the bottle water we bought in the freezer to get cold quicker before drinking. There are 3 A/C units….one in the dining room that is to cool the living room, dining and kitchen since it’s open concept, the other in the master bedroom and another upstairs in bedroom 2. There was a regular fan in the 3rd upstairs room which made it really difficult to sleep in. The pillows in the bedrooms were extremely soft to the point when you lay your head on them, your head sinks to the mattress and the shower head in the guest bathroom upstairs should really be replaced……poor water pressure which made showering time longer due to taking a long time to rinse hair and body. The ceiling fan in the dining room sparked and blew up first night which made poor lighting since there wasn’t enough light in the kitchen and living room to compensate and we also had an issue with the portable A/C units leaking which created wet carpet in the surrounding areas and ceiling water leakage that trickled on to my dad’s head during the night ….he really didn’t mind though since it was so warm and the water was cool. :)
Every issue we had though Leira quickly responded and though she couldn’t do anything about the blown ceiling fan….she did send some nice people the very next day to tend to the A/C units….they just needed to be drained and they put towels around the wet areas….again it was quite warm so the carpets dried quickly.
This cabin has potential to be one of the better properties to stay in…..I suggest making sure that everything is in working order prior to renter occupancy, replace pillows in bedrooms along with the shower head in the upstairs guest bathroom, have an A/C unit in the 3rd upstairs bedroom and if it’s warm, have the cabin nice and cool for the incoming renter. If cold, a fire from the fireplace would be a welcoming gesture as well. Thank you Leira. :)
