"Beautiful home with two gorgeous terraces. The shower is a bit tight but the main bathroom is overall very nice. Parking is a bit of a challenge but it’s not terrible you just need to orient yourself in the area because there is lots of parking a very short walk from the property. Angelo is an amazing host. Live like a local at this villa!"

"The property was lovely and the are very quiet. It was very difficult to locate and parking was an issue. The hot water in the shower was an issue and not enough kitchen facilities to wash up if you cook."

"The property is beautiful! The rooms are large and each has a bathroom- all were very clean. The pool is lovely and view from the pool is the sunset- all outdoor spaces have views, as do all of the rooms. The design and decor are also lovely. There are two separate office/public spaces in the villa in case some members of your party need to work remotely. "Villa Alceo is amazing. Staying here was like leaving in a different age and being part of a fairy tale. Everything has been meticulously cared for and has been done for the comfort of the guests. "House itself was very spacious and clean. We stayed 3 nights as a family of 7, 5 adults, 2 children. Only 35 mins to Milan. Many restaurants and grocery nearby. Just is very nice and very responsive to all our questions. Tip-ask about all fees prior to booking. Host fees very high. Home is also along side road and traffic can be heard all day/night. Construction began next door on a new home day 2 at 0700. Not the hosts fault, but something to be considered when charging high host fees. Also...

"Historic villa property beautifully restored in an amazing location with amazing view. Lunch and dinners on the covered veranda. Would have been better if bath for second bedroom were not down the hall. The owner was wonderful. At our request arranged for a private chef to come to the villa which was lots of fun, and delicious. She also arranged for restaurant reservation for the evening we arrived. Owner communication was excellent! We loved our stay!!!"

"It was much as I had expected, very clean, good views over the valley and excellent communication with Monia, the owner. We succeeded in stealing a key and a mirror and leaving a pair of glasses behind, all of which are finding their way back. Monia is even paying my parking fine for me as I have no idea how to do it and want to remain law abiding!! A great holiday!! PS. Take her advice re going to the Canottieri rowing club for meals. "Brilliant stay, lovely property which was clean and modern. It would have been good to understand the pool would be closed until 1st june in advance. The stairs were also quite steep for elderly relatives. Only small things!"

"My biases are that I love older architecture. I would guess that this villa is well over a 100 years old and they have maintained the character while modernizing the kitchen and bathrooms. The views are beautiful. It did have a few minor issues that I would expect with an older villa which in no way affected our stay"
