So first impression is walking up to a locked door that you have to buzz into to get into the lobby to check in, if that tells you anything about the safety of the area. The first room we were given faced the neighboring motel so it was super bright in our room with the lights off, and there was no curtain (just blinds). The lamps were dim with only one overhead light by the door. No bugs when we pulled up the sheets (and there was no fitted sheet, just a flat sheet tucked in to sleep on), but there were tons of sketchy looking and large stains on the bedding/comforter. Went down to the desk and without arguing (which was nice), they gave us a new room. The new room was cleaner with no stains on the bedding and ripped curtains on the window, but the chair had stains so we didn’t use it. Didn’t use the shower, but every time we flushed the toilet, I had the lift the tank lid and drop the plug to get it to stop running. A/C and heat worked, but the unit made loud sounds sometimes. No breakfast offered, but the coffee was okay per my husband and they had some hot tea options which was nice. Don’t know how this place was rated so highly, and I mean it wasn’t awful, but I wouldn’t stay again.
