"I had a great time here. The property is cozy and peaceful. I hiked the nearby trails during the day, and enjoyed the comfort of the cabin at night. If you’re looking for the “cookie cutter” experience that you get at a chain hotel, steer clear. "Listing is accurate. Best parts: location, views, windows, and usable outside space. Open flame heaters were responsive and provided warmth. Kitchen well stocked for cooking. We were able to go to Cloudcroft to explore, but not stay at the higher altitude all the time.Downsides: bathroom was cramped, especially the shower; figuring out the heating for day and night. "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is an older home but plenty of amenities. Beds are comfortable, loved having a washer and dryer. It was nice after a day of hiking to collapse in the recliners in the living room. Nice to have a dishwasher as we did cook meals. Loved morning coffee on the front porch rockers. We didn’t use it much but there is a nice enclosed back patio."

"This is a lovely and comfortable cabin in a convenient location but we were super creeped out at the end of our stay when we learned that the owners or managers were watching us from a vehicle and snapping photos of our family from across the street. Would not recommend for families with children. Also they tried to charge us fees that were not disclosed by hotels.com after check out. "

"The place was great, nicely appointed. The host communicated promptly when I had questions.The condo is very comfortable and nice furnished.I'd definitely stay here again!The only drawback is if you need to use 4 beds. The fourth bed is a trundle bed, and when it is pulled out there is *no* space between the walls, the regular bed, and the trundle bed. To get into the regular twin bed you have to step on the trundle bed. "

"Was a pleasant stay adjacent to the Lincoln National Forest. In fact a hiking trail was less than a minute walk out the back door. Though not secluded the neighborhood was quiet and respectful, and had daily visits by the local Mule Deer. There is a small fenced-in area in the back for dogs but you may have to leash your pet if they are prone to jumping over fences to chase deer.
