CLEANING.

We have gone Beyond Covid -19 protocol !! We use both a product called In-Cide ( sold at Home Depot ) as well as wipe everything down with a hospital cradle sanitizing agent that kills Covid 19 and other known viruses in 10 minutes after contact. We’ve changed our checkin time to 4 pm and the place is aired out for hrs before cleaner even goes in. Everything is washed in the hottest longest cycle the washer! We’ve had no issues at all. Best Kept Secret In Tucson
We cant say enough about this little gem of a casita. Its so quiet, peaceful, and private. Its just the right size for 2 people. The back yard was perfect for a BBQ at home. It is walking distance from a CVS and McDonalds and just far enough from main roads that you cant hear the traffic. We loved it

Perfect Casita
We stayed 2 nights. Taylor and Yuko were very responsive to any questions we had. The location was great for visiting our friends. The casita was quiet and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend for a couple visiting Tucson as the rates were very affordable.

My husband and I came down to hike the mountains and stayed at the casita. The location was very convienent to everything needed. The service was very good, great cooking space, and all the utensils needed were provided. The backyard is very calming and has a little fire pit. We would recommend this property for anybody heading to Tucson.

Taylor was extremely helpful and a very good host!
This property is accurately represemted as a cozy, nice place. The bedroom is separated from the good, full kitchen so no refrigerator noises in the bedroom. We also appreciated the ceiling fan to supplement the really good air conditioning system since we were there during a very hot week. We would stay there again. The benchand table and chairs in the back yard gave a private place to relax - overall, very nice!

Good value & location
We visited Tucson to celebrate my granddaughter's 21st birthday and stayed at the Casita. We had received information that the Casita had a queen size bed which turned out to be a full size bed, only about 80% as big as a queen. The full size mattress was also extremely soft and we tended to roll from the sides to the center which made sleeping the first night rather uncomfortable. The bed being too small for us, we decided to use the sofa bed for one of us, only to find out there were no linens available as advertised. We had to request them and when they finally came, they were in the original plastic wrapping which gave a distinctly unpleasant odor to them, so we had to wash them at my granddaughter's apartment before using them for the third night. We also received information that a washer and dryer were available; they weren’t. The best thing about the stay was the rear patio. We wound up getting takeout from our granddaughter's favorite restaurants and having leisurely quiet dinners on the patio every night which we thoroughly enjoyed. The Casita was very clean and convenient to the University area. We had no need to cook, but the kitchen was well equipped for meal preparation. We would certainly consider returning if we ever visit Tucson again.

Sunny February Week at the Casita
Fleeing the Seattle-area rain and snow, my wife and I rented Taylor and Yuko's Casita for a week, and really enjoyed our stay.... location is great, in a quiet but centrally located neighborhood, within walking distance of several good restaurants, and close to stores. A great home base for explorations of all Tucson has to offer. Casita is cozy, recently remodeled, and has all the amenities you need: full kitchen, comfortable bed, nice TV and Wi-Fi. We enjoyed morning coffee out on the sunny patio in the fully fenced private back yard. Owners gave us privacy but made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great Experience!!!
My husband and I were honored to be the FIRST guests in La Casita!! Taylor and Yuko were the kindest, most generous and attentive hosts!!! La Casita is cozy but worked very well for the two of us!!! The location is fantastic, practically in the heart of Tucson, very easy to get around town!! Taylor and Yuko have thought of it all but if you have a request, they are ON it!! Book it!! You won't be disappointed!!

Perfectly Cute & Small
The Casita is cute, small, but perfectly fine for 2 people. We stayed 1 week. It is 2 blocks from the Speedway strip. Lots of thrift stores and places to eat. Taylor is great. He is close and happy to get anything you might need. The kitchen has dishes, pots, pans, and spices, cooking is easy. The fenced backyard is quiet and private. We would have stayed another week, but it was already booked. And we would stay again, if we are ever back in Tucson, and not even bother to look anywhere else.

clean and very quaint
I was in town visiting my daughter for mom's weekend. We both stayed at the casita and were very comfortable. The bed was quite comfortable. It was cool and windy when I visited and there was a great cross breeze through the unit. The security doors allowed me to keep the inner doors open and enjoy the breeze. The kitchen is accommodated sufficiently. I would recommend this home for 1 or 2 people. I think 3 would be too many. I would definitely stay here again and plan on doing so. Taylor and Yuko were both very nice and attentive as needed but also gave us space. They will make every effort to accommodate your needs. They are quick to respond to emails and texts. Great hosts.

UA Student
I stayed here for a few days while I took short courses at the law school. Peter accommodated a special request from me to connect a DVD player, which helped me unwind in the evenings after spending 8am to 6pm doing some heavy thinking and discussion in class on concepts and frameworks. It was great to come home, and pop in a DVD of my sci-fi TV series and be unbothered by Netflix decision making. Closeness to Whole Foods and Bookman’s is great, and it was a quiet neighborhood. I will always look for this place when I need to be back in Shchuk:son for trainings from the university. The city’s name comes from an O’odham word describing mountains that are black/shchuk at their base.

Cute cottage
This vrbo rental was very clean, newly updated and tastefully decorated. Neighborhood is a mix of homes from some needing refurbishing to large and small homes that look great. Felt safe in the neighborhood. About maybe 1 mile walk to the downtown historical district. Pictures are quite accurate. The yard is cute. Only one thing we were quite disappointed about was, the backyard has a propane fire pit that we were were looking forward to use a couple nights that we were there, with the weather being so nice and the propane tank was empty. We didn’t know until the first evening looking to use it. Notified the manager and he said they would have it filled the next day or we could and they would reimburse us. It didn’t get filled the next day and we did not do it as we did not feel that we should have had to do it. If this is unimportant for your stay, no worries. Still, We would stay here again.

Extremely disappointed
The property looked clean on the surface however, there were hairs (not mine) on the bed pillows and I encountered several large cockroaches my first morning there. I immediately packed up and contacted the owner for a refund. While the owner was responsive at first, I still have not received $116.61 of the promised full refund. I have contacted VRBO several times and they claim that the host is not being responsive and VRBO can not issue the remainder of the refund. In addition to the uncleanliness of the casita, I also had the added stress of having to find a new place to stay - all while trying to move my child on to campus from out of state.

A wonderful week in a very comfortable apartment
I really enjoyed my week in this recently remodeled apartment/casita. It has a living room/kitchen, one bath(shower), and a bedroom (I'm not sure if the bed is a queen size or a double--but it's big enough to sleep two), and new ceramic tile flooring. The sofa in the living room folds out into a bed, but I can't attest to its comfort as a bed since I didn't use it./ There's wide screen TV, high speed wireless internet, a new electric range and oven, refrigerator/freezer, all of the utensils and pots and pans you need to cook meals if you wish. There's also a nice patio out back, a fenced back yard, and a washer and dryer (in a utility building). Basically, I had all the comforts of home and felt that it was a very good value and much better than a hotel room for a weeklong or longer stay. Taylor and his wife Yuko live right next door and they are very helpful if you need anything. This apartment is located one block southeast of the intersection of Alvernon and Speedway, and is about two miles from the University of Arizona. If you bicycle (which was my primary mode of transportation this week) the third street bikeway will take you to the University and to downtown Tucson. There's a CVS and a McDonalds a block and a half walk away. The nearest grocery store, a Fry's, is about four blocks away. I would recommend this casita if you are looking for a comfortable place to make yourself at home while in Tucson.
