The location was perfect for us. We were able to spend a couple quiet days with lovely views right at the guesthouse. It was also easy to travel to the sights we wanted to see. Steve and Susan are lovely hosts. Our first vacation to Tucsan was Perfect!
Best vacation property you can find. This place has more comfort than you can imagine, very thoughtfully appointed and managed. Spectacular views, wonderful location but mostly it’s the management that makes it the very best.
This property is better than you imagine. It has stunning views, spacious interior filled with everything you need & more. Hosts set the bar for welcoming & helpful. Best place ever!
Love this place! We have been coming here for years and each time we stay a bit longer. It is comfy and convenient to our favorite trails for hiking and mountain biking. The hosts, Steve and Susan, are great. It really feels like our home away from home.

Boyer Guest House
Steve and Susan are great hosts. The house was perfect for our needs. Close to restaurants and grocery stores, and to attractions that we wanted to visit. Would like to visit again.
This is a lovely place with plenty of space, comfortable and clean, and decorated nicely with all the amenities. Our expectations were exceeded! We've been trying to book here for ages and finally made it! We've spent much more for much less at other venues...this is truly a great place at a great price. But book early and often...before we left we asked to book for next year, and the home was already reserved (fingers crossed for a cancellation in our favor!) Thank you Steve & Susan for sharing your home!
Hosts were very easy to work with, very responsive. Guesthouse is roomy with everything you need for staying in, great outdoor space for being outside and enjoying the views. Convenient location to highway, but very quiet too. Near groceries, restaurants, all the basics.
We are very happy with our beautiful accommodations and highly recommend staying here. Clean, comfortable furnishings both inside and on the balcony, quiet surroundings and centrally located to Tucson parks and shopping. Steve is a friendly host and available for questions at any time. We are very grateful and we hope to be back another year!
What a great experience. Perfect place for a perfect vacation. The place sits so close to everything yet you feel like you are out in the middle of nature. Quiet and accommodating is the best way I can describe the owners. Clean and spacious.
You will not be disappointed with this property.

Wonderful stay!
This is a very comfortable, clean, well located property with wonderful views. Our hosts Steve and Susan were very friendly and helpful. Only problem was the unseasonably cool, rainy (and snowy!) weather prevented us from enjoying the deck and other outdoor activities. Still, would recommend this property and we hope to return next year
Wonderful stay in Tucson, near Saguaro National Park
My family wanted to get away from a large city and relax for a bit in the desert. We were lucky enough to find these guest house in Tucson. It is a very nice clean and furnished guest house above a large garage. The location is remote enough to have some peace and desert solitude, but yet, still close enough to all the interesting sites. It didn't take long to get to the places we wanted to visit (Oracle, Saguaro, Sabino, etc.) and be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the desert. The balcony was very spacious and covered. We were able to spend time out there to rest and read and unwind. The house is wonderfully spacious for a family of 4. The kitchen was well stocked and had plenty for us to prepare our meals. The hosts, Steve and Susan, were very friendly and able to meet any requests we had. We would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to come back out this way.
We booked this property for our two week stay during the 2024 Tucson Gem, Mineral, & Fossil Showcase. My wife and I were working at two different shows the first 9 days, then we hosted family and friends who had never been to the Tucson Showcase.
It was so nice to know our vehicle was secure each night. We brought a lot of prepared meals because we knew we would be too tired to do a lot of fancy cooking. The kitchen had everything we needed. The appliances are close to new. They also had just about every type of coffee maker you could want - how wonderful! The beds were great. Loved the almost instant hot water in the showers. Our only "negative" is the 21 stairs you have to climb up and down each day - but then we didn't feel too bad when the owner had the same complaint. LOL. It's so quiet and the views from the balcony are amazing. Wonderful place, will likely book here again.

What a wonderful property!!
Steve and Susan couldn't have been nicer hosts. They accommodated our late arrival, and welcomed us with a great bottle of wine! The apartment had a wonderful covered patio with comfy furnishings, perfect for late afternoon glass of wine and relaxation The unit was spacious and felt like home. The views of sunrise and sunsets from surrounding mountains were beautiful and we even saw a pack of wolves(?) and jackrabbits in the desert brush surrounding the property.
Our only issue was probably more of a VRBO issue - when we booked, the map showing location was incorrect, so we ended a bit further away than we expected. That being said, getting to downtown, hiking , supermarket and other activities was not inconvenient.
A Truly Magnificent Place: Amazing Views & Connection to Natural Beauty
We really enjoyed our stay at this property and can't wait to go back! It's spacious, comfortable, well-stocked, etc. The deck is furnished with a high top table for four with cushions on the seats plus an outdoor seating area on sofas and chairs for perhaps 4-6 people. It's a great location. Near lots of conveniences and attractions and also near the incredible Sweetwater trail system for hiking and mtn biking. The hosts are wonderful...friendly, helpful, accommodating. They loaned us tools for the bikes, a cooler, and even received some mail on our behalf. But the best part about it is the "sense of place." It's surrounded by mostly open desert and it's elevated up off the ground so there are incredible views in all directions. In the morning you can sit with your coffee and watch the sky over the mountains in the east turn from black to red to orange to yellow and finally to blue. And then in the evening you can turn your chairs to the west and repeat the whole process while enjoying a drink at sunset. Plus the "alpenglow" at sunset time often illuminates the Catalina Mtns to the north in a breathtaking way. We love places where you feel that "connection to the rhythms of the earth" and this home certainly fits that description.

Spacious, Convenient and Well-Maintained - a Wonderful Place to Stay in Tucson
My wife and I just returned from a two-week stay at this property during the time of the Tucson Gem and Mineral show. We enjoyed our stay very much. We were immediately impressed by the spacious layout which includes two large bedrooms, each with it's own full bathroom. Although there were only two of us there we noticed that the bedroons are well-separated by an intervening hallway so that two couples could easily share the appartment and still have plenty of privacy.
The kitchen is large with plenty of cabinet space and was better equiped than other units we have rented in the past. My wife did a lot of cooking while we were there and all of the kitchen appliances worked well. The owners were able to provide any cooking utensils that were not initially available. The outdoor kitchen is actually attached to the owners house, not the appartment, but was available for our use and was reasonably convenient. I grilled some chicken on the large outdoor propane grill one night and the grill worked well.
In the evenings we enjoyed relaxing in the living room with its large TV or listening to CDs that we had brought with us. The satellite TV service had a good selection of channels and we had good WiFi reception for my laptop computer. The appartment was very well-maintained and really provided everything we wanted.
The appartment sits above a 4-car garage and it was nice to be able to put our car in the garage each night. The owner even provided an automatic garage door opener! The area around the garage is well lit as are the stairways. There are a lot of stairs to climb to get up to the appartment so someone with knee or hip problems might have difficulty with that. This was not a problem for us and the payoff was the fantastic view of the mountains that was provided by the extra elevation. We saw a number of fabulous sunrises during our stay.
The owner's house and the appartment are located on a gravel road and are well removed from other houses so there was never an issue with neighborhood noise. The gravel road is short and is easily traversable by a standard car.
The location was very convenient for us. A shopping area with a grocery store and drugstore was only about 2 miles away and it was very easy to get downtown to the convention center or to get on I-10 to go either east or west.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this property to anyone who does not have difficulty climbing stairs.
My husband and I had a fabulous trip hiking all over the Saguaro National Park, and this apartment and location made it perfect. Easy and quick access to West SNP, groceries, and Highway 10 to the larger community. Check-in and out was seamless; the accommodations were clean and abundant. Our trip was both active and relaxing. I highly recommend this spot if you are a couple or small group visiting Tucson. Thank you, Susan and Steve, for sharing your place!
We love this property! It's perfect for us...close to great places to hike and mountain bike, yet downtown Tucson, museums, galleries, and restaurants are easily accessible. Steve and Susan are wonderful hosts. We hope to be able to return again next year!
