Amazing City And Mountain Views From The Foothills Of The Catalinas

Fully furnished 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom Santa Fe Style hillside casita, with incredible views of the mountains and the city of Tucson. The guesthouse is fully furnished, including a clothes washer and dryer, and is located in the foothills of the Catalinas, at the base of Mount Lemmon. Our guesthouse is located on a three acre property, is surrounded by Saguaros, Ocotillo, and desert wildlife, and has a private patio with a private hot tub.

Arizona National is the closest golf course and is only a 5-10 minute drive from our casita. The closest shopping center is 5 miles (10 minutes) away, according to Google Maps. The drive up to Mount Lemmon starts only minutes away and leads to hiking, cycling, mountain biking, camping, fishing, scenic overlooks, and skiing (depending upon the season and the weather). By car, downtown Tucson is 36 minutes away, and The University of Arizona is 29 minutes away (both according to Google Maps).

The guesthouse is designed to accommodate up to 2 people using the king size bed, but we may be able to accommodate a couple with a small child, as well. Please contact us about this situation ahead of any requests for booking.

Peace and quiet with heavenly views
Stayed here for 2 1/2 months to escape the upper midwest winter. Hiking nirvana on Mt. Lemmon nearby, as well as Saguaro NP and all the other trails in the Tucson area. Michael and Alejandra were very gracious hosts, always available. Enjoyed the privacy and quiet of the guest house. Star gazing from the patio was fantastic.

Had an amazing time staying at Alejandra and Michael's casita. Alejandra welcomed us with a home grown grapefruit from their tree, which was lovely. Perfect, peaceful little get away spot!

A Workation Success!
Since we work remote, we have taken several "workations" where we stay, play, and work for a week or more. Our week at this casita was a workation success! The Wi-Fi signal was strong and dependable for work, and we enjoyed the views, hot tub, and easy access to trails and the city while we played. Next time we find ourselves headed to Tucson for work, play, or both, we hope this casita is available.

Quiet beauty
This private casita in Milagrosa Hills is just perfect for 2 people who are visiting Tucson and want a quiet, wonderfully furnished rental with beautiful views and quiet. There was nothing we needed at the casita, with its fully equipped kitchen, bath and hot tub. Evenings in the hot tub were a great way to wind down, with a spectacular view of city lights. We will definitely want to stay here again when we are in Tucson.

The comfortable casita provided a fantastic base to explore the Tucson area. The hosts were very helpful when needed but otherwise we didn't even know they were there. It was wonderful to explore all day and then return to the casita to enjoy the sunset from the hot tub. And it was wonderful too to wake up to the sounds of coyotes howling and to take an early morning stroll with javelinas in the brush. And then drive down to South Tucson for the best carne asada and horchata. Wonderful, simply maravilloso.

The description of the casita, the location and the views are all very accurate. It doesnt detail the experience you can expect though. This home ( and it feels like a home) is tastefully and comfortably appointed…both inside and out. It was a wonderful experience to grill dinner overlooking the city, enjoy wine on the patio and finish the evening with a relaxing soak in the (very clean) hot tub all while taking in the constellations above. Notably the hosts, Michael and Alejandra, are wonderful people, always available and are there to make your stay as pleasant as can be. I’m already planning my return trip!

Do not hesitate for a minute! This casita is a true gem in the desert. We’ve stayed 5 times and plan to return. Set in the gorgeous foothills, you are surrounded by saguaro, ocotillo and amazing views from the private patio and hot tub. We love the desert quiet and the forest at the top of Mount Lemmon is only 20 miles up the road. The casita is very comfortable and the shower amazing. Close to restaurants and stores, this place has it all. Hosts Michael and Alejandra excel at being available when needed yet respect our privacy.

Had an amazing time staying here. It was clean, comfortable, and exactly what was needed from our everyday in the city. The views are amazing at night and during the day. The home came equipped with everything needed plus more. The owners response to anything needed was very prompt. It was absolutely beautiful and I plan on coming back!! One thing I wish the place came with were a few throw blankets. Thank you very much, you have a beautiful home and I felt blessed to be able to have this experience!!

Perfect in Every Way
Michael and Alejandra were the perfect hosts. No issues with communication in any way. Alejandra greeted us when we arrived, we met Michael on the day that we left. The casita was immaculate with all the amenities described with a well equipped kitchen. Located next to their home, it was a very private setting, exactly what we wanted/needed. The location is very quiet with lots of wildlife, especially in the morning with a beautiful view of the sunsets. The casita is located close to the base of the Catalina mountains with a short drive to Mt. Lemmon (about 30 degrees cooler there). We're already discussing a return visit because we loved it there.

Perfect Vacation Getaway
We could not have been more pleased with our stay at the casita. It is a convenient distance from the city, and the views from the casita are amazing. We enjoyed coffee each day on the patio. While the kitchen does not have an oven, we did not want to bake while on vacation. The outdoor grill was a bonus as we eat on our patio all summer in Michigan, and were able to extend our summer at the casita. Our hosts were available when needed, and invisible when not needed. They were very pleasant indeed. We hope to stay there again in the future as we decide on a place to retire.

My wife and I just spent a week at Alejandra and Michael’s Casita. The short version - for a couple, this is a fantastic rental across the board. This place is a sanctuary. We spend a lot of time visiting the Tucson area, often for short stays. Always for outdoors adventures. Our favorite rental has been a Casita only a few miles from Alejandra and Michael’s We have now found a new favorite, especially for longer stays. The Casita is spotless clean, extremely well built, has a fresh new feel to it. It is well laid out, provisioned, decorated and very comfortable. The views are fantastic, both day and night. The patio is fantastic for relaxing and enjoying those views. The Spa is a great feature and so relaxing and restorative after a day of hiking, running trails or climbing. The multi-headed shower which includes a rain shower is quite enticing as well. Its a short jaunt to the road leading up into Mt. Lemmon. There are easy routes out to the south and west for exploring that direction. And getting into town, or its surrounds is quite convenient. Alejandra meet us when we arrived, even those it was late into the day and was delightful. We ran into Michael one of the evenings and had a great chat for a bit. They are both wonderful hosts and made sure we knew they would be reached for anything that might come up. For us nothing did. Everything was as good as one could want. It would be hard to beat this Casita for peace, solitude, and recovery from everyday madness.

A wonderful Experience
The house, shower, patio, hot tub and views are terrific. The owner's wife and the owner are lovely people and couldn't have made us feel any more welcome. We will return again, if we can make the open dates work for us.
