"We drove down to Ljubljana from the UK in August 2024 while enroute to Croatia and opted to stay here for 2 days as it had free parking, wasn't far from the city centre and other attractions. Parking onsite can get competitive at times, but we would eventually find a space. "This was a wonderful place to stay! It was about a 40-minute walk to the city center, but there is a bus stop right outside and it was very quick to go downtown that way if you don't have a car. There are hiking paths in the huge park nearby and an excellent restaurant across the street serving Slovenian cuisine. "The room was nice and clean; the owner seemed a little put out at first because Expedia had overbooked us and she didn’t seem to happy. When we asked her about coffee in the morning she looked at us like we’d lost our mind! It all turned out fine and she had coffee for us in the morning for a small charge. The hotel is beautiful and I wonder what the spa services would be like. We weren’t given any options to utilize them."
