"One night stay. We loved this place because of how friendly they were. . It is not expensive, nor should it be. We had a basic room with two beds and a bath. A pleasant view out the window. The room was a second floor walk up but staff kindly helped with luggage. Staff was exceptional. The restaurant downstairs was well attended by locals at breakfast mid day and dinner. "Stayed here for three nights after a few hectic weeks of traveling. It was the perfect place to relax. Esmerelda was very helpful and friendly in check-in and always available if needed. The room was a good size with comfortable bed and an ensuite with unlimited hot water. Trujillo itself is a lovely little spot with plenty to see and great views from the battlements of the old fortress. Plaza Mayor is a great place to while away your time with a book and a cold beer.
