While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.

Located in Northstar, you are only a 10-minute drive away from Truckee, and 20 minutes over the summit and down to beautiful Lake Tahoe.
The entry-level of this property offers two bedrooms - one with a Queen sleigh bed and the second has A Bunk Bed and a Single. There is a full bath with a tub and shower as well as a half bath featured on this level.
Upstairs is a spacious living area, dining room, and kitchen all open to each other, creating a great atmosphere for group and family gatherings. The dining area will accommodate up to 6 people. A delightful fireplace will warm you on the coldest of nights. A flat-screen TV for your entertainment is in the living room, along with outdoor access to a balcony.
Our guests are able to use all of the resort's swim and recreation facilities including the lap pool, saunas, hot tubs, weight and exercise room, lounge, and teen center. The Northstar shuttle bus is available year-round to take you to the Village, ski lifts, and other destinations in the resort.
If you have not visited Northstar recently, a completely new Village at Northstar awaits you! You will find a variety of shopping options, including clothing stores, galleries, several food and beverage choices (from take-out to fine dining), a specialty chocolatier, photography and video services, and more! Even Starbucks is now in the Village. There is a pedestrian-friendly plaza, fire pit, and a 9000-square-foot ice skating rink! It is a perfect place to gather during the day or after skiing. The movie theatres are now open in the Village.
With all the activities available on-site at Northstar, many guests never leave the resort during their stay! If you decide to see some of the local sites, the historic town of Truckee is only six miles to the north and Lake Tahoe is six miles to the south. Truckee has many interesting shops and tourist attractions as well as all the stores (grocery, drug, hardware, and sporting goods) that you might need. Lake Tahoe offers wonderful scenery, water activities, and a wide variety of restaurants. Nevada, with its casinos, is also located on the north shore.

IMPORTANT:
On March 11th, 2022, the county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing. Some Highlights include:
•Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 8 am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time.
•Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside of a property and all pet waste needs to be picked up.
•Parking is limited to the following number of spaces: 2 Cars (Parking Requires Parking Passes)
POLICIES & DISCLOSURES
1. 2021 Update: Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.
2. As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9 pm - 8 am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
3. By local laws we have to charge a 12% occupancy tax (10% TOT tax + 2% TBID tax) with every booking. TBID is placed on lodging, retail, restaurant, and recreation businesses in North Lake Tahoe to raise money for visitor services, business support and advocacy, economic development, tourism mitigation, and transportation services.
