This place is perfect for the outdoor spirit in you with places such as Truckee River Regional Park nearby, where you can spend a fun-filled day out with your family picnicking on the grass, hiking along its incredible trails, or playing some disc golf. Donner Memorial State Museum Is less than five miles out from your vacation rental where you can learn all about the emigrant experience and of the people that once lived here in this humble settlement so long ago.

Head on back after you've had enough adventure for one day and gaze up at the enormity of your new home away from home tucked behind tall and gorgeous trees. Inside, you'll be in awe at the spaciousness of your living area, with its tall windows reaching up to its vaulted ceiling. Kick up your feet and relax on the comfortable furnishings provided or take a quick power nap on the couch. The cabin-like interior decor along with its welcoming signs are sure to make you feel right at home. Cook up a delicious meal for everyone as you make use of the full kitchen's stainless steel appliances. Gather around the dining room table and feast on a homemade meal under the light of a spectacular chandelier.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Awesome house, beautiful location!
6 of us stayed here and there was loads of room. Kitchen was perfect; big backyard with jacuzzi and firepit. We were able to have 5 people working and using the wifi all week without a problem. We would stay at this house every time!!

The home is great, nicely furnished and good location. We did have a few issues. The home was really cold when we arrived and it took more than a day to warm up. I assume the furnace filters needs to be serviced. We closed vents in areas we were not using to try and warm it up. There were only a couple garbage bags, not a roll. The Bear trash container was full when we arrived so we put our rubbish in the garage, there was no firewood in the garage as promised. Overall it is a really nice home,

Truckee Time
Close to town, restaurants and lots of bakery and coffee shops. Close to Safeway and grocery outlet! Nice fenced in back yard with nice grassy area. Not ideal for toddlers but we took our own stair gates and we enjoyed the yard time. Plenty of nice bathrooms and two large sitting areas. (Remember no air conditioning so does get warm in day time. …larger fans would be nice but there were plenty of smaller fans that were helpful). Not many windows open. Overall we enjoyed our stay and were comfortable.

Home would’ve been great
The home had ample space for my family to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday however there were bags of trash left in the middle of the garage upon arrival and empty bottles of motor oil. The TV remotes also had weak/dead batteries. A few other issues came up during our stay and the team, while responsive during the day, never followed up with me after checkout regarding some outstanding items.

Nice house but lacking basic supplies
This was a very nice stay for our family of 12. The reason we gave it 3 stars was it seriously lacked basic items. There is one towel per bathroom, no wash clothes or hand towels, left us one small 4 oz bottle of dish washing soap, 2 dish towels in the kitchen. When we ran out of tp the manager said “go get your own, we supply the first roll.” Now keep in mind we are paying over 800. a night. Like I said we really did enjoy the house and we would consider going again sometime. I feel like the owner needs to hear this report. These items would not be expensive to supply your guests and for the price of the stay we think the house should be better supplied. Thank you

Worth the Stay for a Large Group
Overall, the home was a great place for a large group to stay. The very top beds, located at the highest point in the home, were unbearably hot at night. There isn't much the homeowners can do about this, but it is worth noting. The house had everything we needed to be comfortbale. A few amenities were not as stocked as we thought they would be, but nothing that couldn't be fixed by a single trip to a nearby grocery store. The location is awesome for this home. It was beautiful for the summer. I imagine the winter is just as nice there. In summary, it was a good place for a family to stay and we were taken care of by the homeowners to our expectations. The home is worth reserving if given the chance!

Beautiful House!
Our crew of about 8 people loved our stay in this home. The deck and hot tub were lovely breaks after we spent our days river floating and going on the lake. The Uber situation in the area was also surprisingly easy. Highly recommend the house/area. The check-in and out was also very easy.

Great Tahoe house for all your friends
Went up here for the Fourth of July. The house had two great balconies that overlook a massive backyard plus another small balcony just for grilling! The grill worked and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to serve our large group of friends. The rooms were comfy, the furniture in the living spaces was accommodating, the backyard fun for all the activities we wanted, the fire pit and hot tub perfect for night time even during the summer heat (it cools off at night in the mountains), and the location is close to historic Truckee and Donner lake and not far from Tahoe’s Sunnyside! Would recommend for groups of 10+

Peaceful and Spacious
This home was a wonderful stay for my family of nine. There was plenty of space for us to connect, make dinners and hang out, but also have spaces to unwind one on one. It was very clean, and checkout wasn’t fussy like other accommodations. I would highly recommend for big groups oh and not to mention the house and backyard was beautiful.

Excellent cabin - clean, well stocked, updated
This cabin was a perfect fit for our annual family friend ski trip. It is probably the nicest cabin we have rented as a group. Situated in Truckee it is ideally located close to all of our favorite ski resorts. It’s a really nice cozy cabin and the living spaces and kitchen were very spacious. The kitchen is super well stocked - we were able to cook dinners easily. There is a great deck overlooking a large backyard with lot of trees. Super nice quite large hottub. This is a really ideal cabin for a group of a few families. The master bedroom is really huge and nice. We didn’t really have anything negative to say, overall great experience and we felt like it was a good value for what you get.

Ski weekend getaway
We rented the house for a ski weekend with friends and it was perfect. Great location close to downtown Truckee. Spacious room. Great areas to hang out together. Clean. Well stocked. Nothing to complain about. Will be keeping this one on the short list for future trips.

Great house for a group!
