4 Bdrm Modern Victorian with Tree House and playground

Beautifully remodeled Victorian Painted Lady with all the modern amenities one could wish for including an amazing tree house and playground any kid would love.
It has a huge living room area, state of the art kitchen with stainless steel appliances: professional grade gas range with built in grill, huge built in refrigerator, built in microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster oven kitchen aid mixer, farmhouse sink, etc.
The master suite has a king size bed, baby crib, walk in closet, spa bathroom, and an LED TV with Roku. Enjoy our spa bathrooms with steam shower/bathtub or the jetted glass Jacuzzi tub with built in radio and therapy lights.
The other two upstairs bedrooms both have queen size beds and one of the bedrooms has a Smart LED TV. The fourth, downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and a queen size blow up mattress in the closet , if needed.
Eat out in many gourmet restaurant, go boutique shopping or for a walk along the Hudson river in the newly rejuvenated down town Troy.
This gorgeous house is conveniently located 5 minutes from down town Troy, 10 minutes from down town Albany, 40 minutes from Saratoga, 2.5 hours from New York City.
Go swimming in many surrounding lakes or hike in the Adirondacks or the Catskill Mountains a short drive away. Endless possibilities for a wonderful vacation!

Great Family Getaway
The Painted Modern Lady property was the perfect getaway for the family. The number is bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect with our teenagers. Tons of hiking places to hike and catch the foliage. The famers market is a must for anyone staying the weekend.

Spacious and comfortable home with large decks, yard and everything else you could need to stay in and just relax. Unique very nice home in good part of Troy
We were very comfortable staying in this home, which had plenty of space for our family of 7. The kitchen and eating area are a real plus, very bright and nice environment. Glad to have off street parking. Worked wonderfully for us and we would stay again.

The Troy House
Beautiful house three good sized bedrooms including a very large master. One smaller bedroom. The two full baths are gorgeous with nice showers and great tub in the master. The kitchen is large and full of light and gorgeous. The living is beautiful with a big TV and a piano. Great place to gather. The family loved it.

Great stay in Troy
We were lucky to stay in Troy for a long weekend so see the city and visit with family. The home is really lovely. Tons of light and space to entertain (some family came over for a pizza party) and we were able to flow easily from kitchen, to dining, to living room. The bedrooms were all well sized and beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms all have great showers - you'll love em. My three year old was delighted by the treehouse and slide built right into the deck. It was awesome to play outside while being at home. The hosts were very responsive. We needed to re-schedule due to COVID and they were generous and friendly to work with us. We would definitely stay again soon.

Uniquely decorated, a mashup of Eastern and modern influences and a variety of travel photography. High ceilings and open living areas allow everyone to gather together or find spaces to themselves. Large deck with both eating and lounging areas. We choose to stay in a home when we travel so that we have more room to hang out and so that we can prepare our own meals; the huge full refrigerator and full freezer made it easy to bring a week's worth of food with room to spare. The kitchen and bathroom fixtures are high-end; master bed sheets were soft. Galina and Nate were available for any concern and were prompt in their responses and assistance.

Stay here instead of a hotel!!!!
We had a family wedding and our family of 6 comfortably stayed here for the week-end. It was an excellent choice opposed to booking hotel rooms. This property had everything we needed and more. 4 bedrooms, 2 amazing full baths, plus one- half bath. The living room is spacious and could accommodate 12 people comfortably. The kitchen table was perfect for a crowd, as was the large table outside. There is a deck with Adirondack chairs as well. Moreover, there is a fire pit in the backyard. The gardens in the front yard our beautiful. Galina, the owner, is awesome to work with. She is professional, reliable and kind. We would definitely book again. This house is perfect to rent if you have a wedding in the area, hosting a rehearsal dinner, graduation week-end, reunions or sporting events.

The house was lovely; every bedroom was nicely furnished with plenty of linens. The kitchen was amazing and was a great place for everyone to gather around and cook; the way the table opened up to the outdoor space was wonderful, but since it was snowing, we didn't get to really use it. The bathrooms were stunning with really nice showers, and there were plenty of nice touches. Galina was kind host who was easy to reach. I would definitely stay again and recommend the place to anyone in the area.

We were in Troy for a family wedding and could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Modern Painted Lady. The house is larger than the pictures portrayed so there was more than enough space for us and it had all of the necessities one needs. Cute historic house
This house suited our needs for our girls trip. The showers were INCREDIBLE and probably one of the best features of the house (aside from the historic charm!) The decor was a bit confusing and didn't seem to match the beauty of the historic home but that’s no reason to deduct any stars. I will say it would be nice if the host would have more silverware available as there was only about 3 spoons and forks. Additional hand towels would also be nice as there were not enough for each bathroom and kitchen. There should be some instructions on how to operate the oven and stove but after a few texts with the host we were able to get it sorted! The house was clean and spacious. I stayed in the room right at the top of the stairs and it was so cozy!! The beds were all very comfortable. The host was easy to communicate with and quick to respond when I had questions. If you have difficulty with stairs, avoid this house. Both full bathrooms are on the second floor and the staircase is very steep. It was no problem for us, but just a warning for anyone older or unsteady on their feet!
