Rural escape
The cottage was very nice and comfortable. Despite poor weather we enjoyed the location beacuse it allowed us to explore Wells, Edington, Bath etc etc. The cottage suited the three of us well and Charlie, our poodle cross.

A lovely rustic bungalow in a great location!
Our family got to enjoy a few weeks at this property. The view of the Westbury White Horse, along with the horse paddocks and stables next to the property forces you to slowdown, so you can fully appreciate it. If you, or any of your family members love horses and you need to get away to a quiet, rural location for a long weekend, or an entire week, I recommend you stay here.

Family weekend break.
The property was a perfect size for us all including the German Shepherd Sulley. The garden was a fantastic size for the children to play rugby and for Sullley to run around and play. There was a lovely basket of essential foods and goodies which I wasn’t expecting and a bottle of wine… such a lovely and thoughtful gesture.. Even the fridge was well stocked with things you would need..And the dog was remembered who had his own towels provided and nice safe secure area for him to sleep when we were out. Plenty of towels and personal essentials. Location was great with a stables next door to keep the kids interested. Local pub was only 1 mile away and easy to walk to. Would recommend for a lovely rural quiet place but with plenty to do and see in the area. Thank you for a lovely couple of days.

Weekend stay
The property was very smart and clean and with many electronic gadgets which was confusing to say the least. The heating was poor, but we lit a fire and managed. The locals ion was not very rural with telegraph lines all over the place, and views of factories across a field! It was I felt very expensive for what it was

Nicely out of the mainstream.
The house was very well provided for, with all kinds of thoughtful touches; really, all we would initially have needed to take was clothes - there was easily enough food there for the first day. It was also extremely refreshing that there was ample wood & coal supplied for the stove [unlike some other places, which give you 2 matches & a stick of wood & then leave you to fend for yourself!]. We loved it there.

A beautiful country retreat
The bungalow is a real treat, a gorgeous garden with furniture, an amazing view and even a gas BBQ. The rooms are big and well equipped, the kitchen has everything you need for a quick snack or a full meal. There are some lovely pubs a short walk away or in 10 minutes you are in the middle of town. Just a great all round place to stay highly recommended.

Perfect long weekend
This property was ideal for myself, my daughter, my two grandchildren and our four Golden Retrievers. The beds were comfy, towels and toiletries provided, and also a very generous Welcome pack. Nicola was prompt at replying to queries and even allowed us into the property early which was a big help. Garden was fab for dogs. Minor niggles, access to house from car park bit of a trek with luggage, decor and furnishings a bit tired. Having had horses of our own, we didn’t mind the house being virtually in the stable yard! To be fair this is clearly stated in the description and was not a problem. All in all a great weekend apart from losing my windscreen washers to the monkeys at Longleat!

Spacious and Comfortable
Really well equipped, spacious accommodation with lovely comfy sofas! Owner was really helpful and relaxed, responded quickly to questions. Our two dogs were warmly welcomed - one loved pottering in the walled garden, the other enjoyed watching the deer dancing in the fields!

Good stay
Lovely house in a lovely rural location. Nice spacious house, lovely garden with lovely views. Excellent welcome pack provided, along with clean towels & cleaning materials. Communication from the owner was excellent. A few things I would recommend: An outside light as it is pitch black in the dark with no street lighting & very difficult to walk & see where you are going if arriving home late. A full length mirror in at least one room Parking in one spot next to the house, is very difficult when trying to unload luggage from the car The pathway is very uneven and proved difficult for my mother with mobility issues. Other than that, we love the west country as family live there and there is lots to see and do in the area.

Excellent location for Longleat
We were pleasantly surprised by the property. The on line pictures do not do it justice. It was far nicer than anticipated and the thoughtful welcome hamper was unexpected but gratefully received. We had a very peaceful time at the property. Outside lighting would be a bonus as the weather was good and we sat outside but being in the countryside it was very dark. The children (We have triplets and an 18 year old) loved having their own room and big beds. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and go again.
