More than just a cabin... Experience Montana Adventure

Stay, relax and explore at Twenty Odd Base Camp in Trout Creek, Montana. With over 90 private acres at the edge of the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness, you'll find yourself surrounded by natural beauty and an array of wildlife only Montana can provide. Ursa Cabin is a cozy yet spacious dwelling nestled amongst fir, pine and aspen trees making it an ideal base camp for your Montana adventure.

"Ursa" (Latin for bear) is one of two cabins available to rent on the property. (Check out “Wapiti” Cabin #1940312) The cabin was completed in the spring of 2017, and has two bedrooms and one bathroom. One bedroom has a Queen bed and one bedroom has two twin beds, accommodating 4 adults comfortably. Guests will enjoy the comfortable living area and beautiful kitchen with granite countertops, complete with all the appliances and utensils needed to prepare a meal. Cold, clean tap water comes from a private well and is excellent for drinking. The covered deck area includes a propane BBQ, table and chairs and stunning views of the surrounding forest and Twenty Odd Peak. A short trail through the ferns and trees arrives at a private fire pit stocked with firewood and roasting sticks for s'mores.

Roll out of bed and hike from your front door up Twenty Odd Peak Trail, accessing some of the most "wild" mountains left in the lower 48. Even just a 30 minute stroll up the trail provides breathtaking views of the Clark Fork Valley. If a little "R&R" is what you're craving, kick back with a book and/or a cold beverage and breathe in nature from your own covered deck. On a clear night, the stargazing is second to none with the absence of natural light from the city.

Just a 5 minute drive down the road you'll find TOBC's lakeshore property. A private dock and gazebo are available exclusively for our guests to enjoy. Bring your own kayaks or rent them in town- Noxon Reservoir is a paddler’s paradise! Don't forget your fishing gear as Noxon Reservoir is known for excellent bass and Pike fishing and holds a number of other species including trout and walleye.

A scenic 4-mile drive down the road is the quaint recreational town of Trout Creek, nestled on the banks of beautiful Noxon reservoir. There are several good restaurants and lounges as well as a grocery store, gift shops, Laundromat and ATM. Hoping to escape the crowds and traffic of the city?... they boast of not having one traffic light in all of Sanders County. Come and immerse yourself in nature and refresh your soul.

Incredible Property. Perfectly designed for a quiet escape
The property is well laid out with gorgeous views and active wildlife. The Ursula cabin is perfectly designed for a quiet family getaway. I appreciated the attention to detail. A perfect mix of charming decor and high quality craftsmanship made the place feel like a well loved family treasure. We spent our days on the water and enjoyed the quiet evenings on the deck. The place was well equipped and well thought out. Our stay felt like we’d been coming there for years. We’ll certainly be back!

The property sits in the wilderness area which has great roads, great views from the porch and from the picture window and is completely quiet. No noise at all except for the turkeys in the morning :-) we saw wild turkeys young deer, and other beautiful birds and wildlife. The hosts were good and helped us. We would recommend this and we told them we would stay there again Earl

Beautiful cabin in the woods!
We loved the secluded area and large deck. The fire pit was well stocked with wood and made for fun family nights. The cabin was clean and had all the necessities to really make it a home away from home. The host was very welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Quite honeymoon getaway
My wife and I looked for a quite secluded getaway to spend our honeymoon away from the busyness of life. We couldn’t have chosen a better place. This beautiful property is only approximately 5 miles from town but nestled away on a 90 acre tract of land with only one other cabin and the owners residence. Plenty of privacy and the rustic cabin is fabulous! Enjoy your evenings sitting around a table on a covered porch watching the wildlife. Deer, elk, bear, turkeys, and an array of songbirds and hummingbirds entertained us daily. The host are genuine and extremely friendly. We left feeling like we have known them for a long, long time. Eric and Marcia we will see you again next year! Blessings our new friends!

Book 20 Odd Base Camp!!!
Wonderful cabins and great hosts! Our family of four had the opportunity to stay in both cabins at 20 Odd and you can’t go wrong with either. Well appointed with everything you need. Communication with the hosts was easy and Eric was very nice to stop by to make sure we had what we needed. Hope to stay here again!

Outstanding stay!
My family and I stayed at the cabin and absolutely enjoyed it. This was the first time using VRBO so we didn’t really know what to expect but the owner was fantastic and made everything very straightforward and was very hospitable and accommodating. The cabin literally had pretty much everything you would need as far as pots and pans, towels, extra blankets and even some spices. The location was perfect. Far enough away from town but still close enough to get some groceries and such. There was even a dock you could go to that had paddle boards and some kayaks. We didn’t use them just because we have family in the same area but it was nice to know it was available if we wanted. I would rate this cabin and the owner a 10/10. Look forward to going back and hopefully soon.

Beautiful Getaway
Ninety acres all to ourselves!! It was beautiful. We had a last minute cancellation of another rental and we found out when we were on our way (Michigan to Montana) Lucky for us we found a BETTER place. Best of both worlds. Gorgeous landscape and around the corner we had lake access. Clean, new cabin and seclusion..we loved every minute. We loved the lay out of the cabin so well that we are considering building a similar place. Thank you for being a host with the most. God Bless :)

Excellent Find!
We absolutely enjoyed our short stay at Twenty Odd Base Camp. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and is new. What we liked most was the peace and quiet and beauty of the surrounding area, as there are hiking trails just outside the cabin. We spent time on the river which is a 5 minute drive away, kids loved the kayaks and paddle board. The owners Eric and Marcia, are some of the nicest people we've met and made us feel welcome and right at home. Communication and check in was easy. Jake made it a breeze. We will definitely be back to TOBC!

Best weekend of the year
Just want to say that this place will exceed your expectations. My wife and I grew up in the area, and only get to visit once or twice a year... We were looking for a place that had easy access, plenty of room for our local friends and family to visit, and ideally we wanted direct access to the Noxon Reservoir to play on the water - this place has it all! The cabins seem brand new, well stocked, and spotless. The pavilion/private dock was the perfect spot to spend the day before returning in the evening to cook, visit, and enjoy the camp fire. Thanks again to our great hosts - we will definitely be back!

Perfect Quiet Getaway
Our family loves getting away from busy city life to this beautifully decorated cabin in the woods. A quick drive down to the dock for kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding, fishing and exploring. A nice hike up to lookout was a good workout and the views amazing. We saw plenty of deer, wild turkeys, blue heron, turtles plus the resident rabbits and Rudy (dog). Not many places to eat so we went to grocery store and had food at the cabin. The s’mores were great and the owners and family were so welcoming and inviting. Next time it’s a hike up and a glass of wine. Thanks for letting us paint rocks to add to your collection!! We loved our stay and will miss Trout Creek!

AMAZING!
What a wonderful experience we had at Trout Creek! We wanted to unplug from all the craziness in the world right now. This is the perfect place. Greg and Marcia are wonderful hosts. They made us feel so welcome and provided great advice on hikes, places to see, and restaurants. The cabin and grounds the BEST accommodations we have ever found in this price range. I can't think of one thing that was lacking in amenities, except for Verizon cell phone range - which actually was a blessing! I could go on and on, but I would HIGHLY recommend this as the perfect relaxing getaway.

Fantastic experience! A+
So many great things to say about this property, starting with the cabin. Amazing. It's like new, and beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything one could possibly need. This property is meticulously maintained. Far exceeded expectations. Next, the setting in the woods is beautiful, and very close to the lake. You have your own private access to the lake. Perfect for families. So much to see and do, we will be coming back for more. So quiet and peaceful. Finally, Eric (the owner) is a great guy. He makes sure you're taken care of, have all you need, and he has so many great suggestions for things to do, and places to see in the area. Gracious host. He also happens to have the coolest little dog you'll ever meet, named Rudy. Overall, a true A++ experience. We're looking forward to out next visit.

Property like a resort; hosts like a family
We had an extremely positive experience traveling to the property. The hosts own an expansive property with unending boundary :). They provided us with everything that we needed to have fun there; bikes, kayaks, life jackets, etc. Eric ( Jake's father) also started a fire for us on the night of our arrival. I had a bike accident during this trip and the hosts helped us with Emergency care in the middle of the night. This is really an unforgettable gesture for which we will forever be grateful to them. This didn't end there. When we were leaving, Eric presented us a bottle of wine since it was our marriage anniversary. Thanks Eric and family.
