Simple room in country with nice backyard
This room is very small, but was enough for our 2 night stay. We liked that it was in the neighborhood and gave us a nice "small town country" feel. Since we were staying at hotels before and after, we really liked this simple homey feel. I didn't realize until the 2nd day that the stairs inside the room leading (I assume) to the other airbnd room next door had drawers built into the stairs. No other drawers in the room, so wished I had noticed them. The "closet" had no hangers. I just used it to lay down my suitcase so I could grab my clothes out of it there. It was a strange layout. The yard was huge... best part was sitting out there in the quiet and watching the deer and pheasant that came to visit! Note, the outside pictures of the front door and the picnic table were not accurate... no table or potted plants around, that doesn't look like our front door, and a bit of feeling of disrepair overall in the yard. There was swing chairs set in the corner near the lawn mower, but they weren't comfortable and partially broken.. my bottom hit the floor when swinging on one. FYI, there was plywood on the front and back of the main house garage... it was a bit off-putting when we drove up. You need to drive to the back of the house on the gravel road and park there. A few weeks before, I sent a question to the property owner, which I never received a response to. Overall, we enjoyed the solitude in the neighborhood and this worked for us, as we are very laid back.

Small but everything you need
Very clean studio apartment. Quiet surrounding area. Nice to sit out in the provided chairs to enjoy the beautiful weather. Well stocked with snacks, coffee, tea, oatmeal, etc. Plenty of towels, shampoo, etc in the bathroom. Very pleased with this place and highly recommend!

Stay for Bryce Adventures
This stay is beautifully furnished and clean. We enjoyed sitting outside evenings and could walk into the small town for dinner. It was small, as described but good utilization of space but after 3 nights we were happy to stretch out at our next stay. The one downside was that there is a microwave and supplies for oatmeal and coffee but no way to cook the oatmeal other than coffee mugs and no way ( soap, towels etc) to wash them. We ended up buying dish detergent and using the paper towels but there should have been supplies to do that if coffee and a micro are offered.

Lovely Petite Retreat
Great property and location for accessing Bryce Canyon NP and Kodachrome Basin SP. Provided amenities include healthy snacks and firewood and outdoor chairs/loungers. Riverstone work in bathroom was beautiful but a little hard on feet. Bathroom was small is only drawback. Perfect for young couples.

Quaint and non hotel/motel experience
Like that it is a very limited occupancy property. Very quiet. It is unique with the room looking over the garden yard. The operator left snacks for us. We were able to communicate easily via email and texting options.

Quiet & Comfortable Stay in Tropic, UT
My wife and I stayed at Dixie's Walnut Tree Room for a few days in late April. Dixie's property was located in a quiet/residential neighborhood of Tropic, Utah. Grocery store, coffee shop, and local restaurants were all within easy walking distance which was fantastic after several days of driving and exploring Bryce Canyon and other nearby public lands. The room itself was very clean and had a really impressive bathroom and shower constructed from river stones, very cool :) The outside area was perfect for lounging in the sun, with views of the surrounding mountains and plateaus. This is really a fantastic place to stay in a town with all the necessary amenities for hikers and adventurers alike! Would absolutely recommend!

Definitely a small room, but for us it was exactly what we needed. We only used it for sleeping since we left to hike daily. Bed was SO comfortable! Absolutely clean. Appreciated the welcome basket and restaurant recommendations. Had everything we needed in a modern but small space.

Great stay
Loved the property! Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean with nice tiled shower. The best part was the outdoor rockers and being able to sit under the shade tree and relax after a long day of hiking. I highly recommend this properly.

Pleasant, but read description carefully!
This property was pleasant overall, on a side street in the small town of Tropic. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and saying hello to the friendly goats and mule. There is a nice yard with a variety of seats and a fire pit. However, you have to have your own starter material (or be a talented scout!) We chose this over a hotel room because we wanted to be able to prepare food and eat at our stay. Please read the "kitchenette" description carefully -- what is presented is accurate, but we apparently didn't read it closely enough. There is no kitchen sink, for example. No toaster. It's basically a microwave, hot pot, pod coffeemaker and dorm-size refrigerator. Coffees, tea bags and hot chocolate are provided. Two mugs and two small plates, and a few plastic spoons. We ended up buying a package of Chinet bowls to microwave the soup that we had brought to eat. The king-size bed is very comfortable! It does take up just about the whole room. We used the long bench for our suitcases, but that meant there was no place to sit in the room except the bed. There's a trundle bed under the big bed, but I don't know where you would put it!! If you have mobility issues, please note in the photos that there is a pretty big step up to the bathroom. As a 65 year old, I would have loved to have a grab bar at the door to steady myself when stepping down from there, especially in the middle of the night. Despite the issues, we had a pleasant stay.

Good use of small space
For a single room, made good use of the available space. Bed was comfortable. Great proximity to national parks. No kitchen per se but has a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and electric tea kettle.

Bryce Canyon
The room and host were great except for the misrepresentation of outdoor facilities. The pictures showed a picnic table as if one could sit outdoors there for meals and that was not the case. It belonged to another apartment at the facility and was not accessible to our rental.

Friendly host Dixie greeted us and was available to help with anything. The Walnut tree room we stayed in had everything we needed for our two night stay, while we visited Bryce Canyon, Kodachrome & Mossy Cave. Amazing views of Bryce canyon & a beautiful night sky. Dixie's attention to detail is unsurpassed. We can't wait to return. There's so much more to see & do
