What a unique tranquil haven in the city. The hotel is a home from home and the staff cannot be more helpful. Our room was lovely and homely and breakfast freshly baked. The views look over the river and behind us a beautiful cathedral. We will be back.
Traveling the last at 5 years, this place offers the ultimate for adult long travel people lim me, look for. Its lake a quite lagoon in an ocean full of storms.
Thank you so much for the stay.

Musty smell, small room/ shower.
Great view, good breakfast.
A different experience because of the use of the facility by pilgrims on St Olaf’s trail but interesting. Clean, good bakery café, friendly, helpful staff. Very handy for viewing the beautiful cathedral and museums. Also convenient for the old and new parts of the lovely city of Trondheim and for good restaurants.
What a unique find! The property is in a wooded country-like setting along the river, but situated in the city center! You can walk to everything and enjoy tea and pastries at the hotel. Perfect!
Centre of Trondheim with nearly everything within a short walking distance.
Facilities are lovely and charming with a bakery offering still-warm freshly baked bread at breakfast. Perhaps the best bread I've ever had!
Staff is pleasant and helpful, and check-in/out setup is very quick and easy.
Should I ever return to Trondheim then I will check if there's a vacant room here first :)
Not so good, cups and plates should get more attention

Humble but all you need
Humble lodging in an old traditional wooden building. Beds are great and the homemade bread at breakfast is excellent. Everything else is no frills but nothing to complain about. It’s actually refreshing to be in a place that is local in every way rather than an international hotel chain with its anonymous style. The reception is not staffed full time so don’t expect to store luggage after checkout- you may not be able to pick it up later.

Rooms smelled, way too small, bathroom / shower - ridiculous.
Breakfast was good, bed comfortable, location was beautiful.
If I owned it, I would rebuild with better rooms - get rid of the smell, build a structure that compliments the cathedral. Fireplace would be nice. Put some drainage along that cemetery - water is building up, ice is terrible, stop water from building up around your foundation.
The accommodation was adorable. It was really cozy and the owner was so nice. There was always tea, coffee and cake from their own bakery :D. Everything was just a short walk away. The only less pleasant thing was that when you looked out of the window there was a graveyard that was part of the cathedral. But that was made up for by the view from the front side of the building with cute house along side the river.
Overall it was amazing and would definitely recommend:))

Cozy place with poor communication
Nice, cozy place but bad communications. Almost ended up being locked out of the hotel because I hadn't heard that their reception hours were minimal and that you had to phone in if you arrived after this.
Since I had to leave very early, they said they'd leave me a breakfast in the fridge. Unfortunately, they never told me the location of this fridge, so after some searching around the place, I had to leave without it.
