My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Deja Blue. We walked to the bluffs edge and toasted the sunset with a glass of wine. Very close to Big Lagoon. We would definitely stay again!
My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay in this cute place. It was very clean and comfortable! We really enjoyed being able to hear the ocean at night with the window open. The beach is a longer walk from the property but the location is a great jump off point for many of the local beaches and forest access…. We did not get in until late and were very touched that the host had left lights on for us inside! We would definitely stay here on a return trip.
Very nice. We wanted a quiet, cozy place near the Redwood Forest National Park, and this was it! Great location about 8 miles north of the small village of Trinidad, and about the same south of the parks. An easy short walk to see the shoreline from this little cottage. Small...would prefer a king-size bed for two, but cozy, clean, convenient. Will be happy to stay there again if we go back.
Good location between Eureka and Crescent City. Property is in residential area right on the ocean. Bed was comfortable and has small kitchen area that is well stocked. Room is very bright in the morning. Bring a blindfold if morning light bothers you
This was a great cabin for my wife and I. Location is excellent as we made a trip up to Crescent City (not far) and work our way down through the beautiful redwoods. There is many local trails for hiking and highly recommend heading to top of Wedding Rock- at Patrick’s Point (5 min Away).
We had an excellent dinner sitting on the Bluff down the road (walking distance) watching sunset. It was cloudy unfortunately but could only imagine how beautiful it would be on clear day.
Cabin has everything you’ll need, comfortable bed, equipped nicely.
Great location for exploring the Pacific shoreline!
The host was very friendly but gave us our space. Very comfortable bed and exactly what you need for the day. We did not cook, but there are a couple burners if needed. Small fridge came in handy! Gorgeous area very close to Patrick’s Point and Redwoods National. Loved nearby Arcata! Looks out over beautiful Agate beach though the nearby access is closed, so access down hike at Patrick’s. Thank you for a great stay!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The place is small but comfortable, clean and met my needs. The owners new housekeeper forgot to supply TP. The owner apologized with words and a bottle of wine. The location is extremely quiet and close to the redwoods, beach and the quaint town of Trinidad. I’ll be back next year.
Peace and quiet abound in this snug little cottage with an ocean view, a few minutes' walk from the beach. It is not the best fit if you enjoy cooking, as the kitchen area is very small and there is no counterspace to prep food or clean up dishes. The bed was not very comfy and I would recommend bringing your own pillows, because the provided ones are hard and lumpy. The heater also clangs a lot, so it is a bit hard to fall asleep. However, the location is absolutely marvelous and we had a really lovely time! Love the area tremendously and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
This property wasn't as up to par as we had hoped. It appeared to be on the beach but you find out that you can't get very close due to other private properties in front and the cliff was too dangerous. The place was dirtier than we liked- the chair in the bathroom should be replaced. The bed smells like Febreeze and the mattress squeeks loudly every time you moved like it was wrapped in plastic.
It was raining so we woke up to ant invasion each morning.
The instruction sheet says to put your trash in appropriate receptacles but we couldn't find any trash cans so we had to take our trash everyday and find a place to dispose of it.
We didn't expect wifi but the instruction sheet says there was but the password was very confusing and couldn't connect.
The heater was awful and this place needs a heater! When we did get it to work, it never went above 68 and it's a metal heater so the expanding metal popped and banged all night. We had to turn it off to get some sleep since it was so loud.
We had to leave a night early and no chance of any refund.
A lovely quiet place with quick access to Redwoods National Park. Nice extras like good coffee and snacks. Friendly host. Would definitely stay here again.
If you’re looking for the sweetest bungalow ever this is it! So cozy, very nicely appointed, super clean, stocked with everything you could need. I couldn’t have been happier with my experience. Would definitely stay there again!!
This place was a cozy little cottage located about 8 miles north of Trinidad. It was a great location for exploring the redwoods - close to humboldt lagoons, prairie creek state park, and lady bird Johnson grove (~20-25 minutes away). The owner, Yvonne, is right on site and is super lovely and helpful. The cottage is small but well stocked. There is a very tiny kitchen section so you can prep lite meals. The bedding was soft and warm. Bathroom had nice thick towels. Cottage is located on the bluffs so you could walk down the street and see the ocean. Great place for exploring the redwoods.
