"Christian, the manager, was delightful and went above and beyond to be helpful throughout our stay. His English was very good and he was very thoughtful A qualified doctor, he also aided my daughter with sunburn and tummy trouble. The hotel has a lovely courtyard where delicious breakfasts are served. We had the double height, triple room at the front of the property which was a beautiful characterful room however the only window opened out straight on to the street which meant a lot of noise and no privacy so recommend any of the other rooms would be preferable, but apart from that I highly recommend this lovely Hotel. The owner also owns two restaurants in town, which give you a free drink every time you go. Its absolutely lovely, go there!"

"They are a very friendly, honest, and helpful family. They speak several languages, including German. We could barely have gotten along without their assistance in booking a flight and getting Internet access. Note that currently, bring dollars or euros to pay them and anything else. The exchange into pesos is complex and a ripoff introduced by the cash-strapped government in a declining economy. "

"Stayed three nights in March 2025. This is a bed and breakfast. You get a GREAT breakfast every morning (we treated it as brunch) included in the price of the hotel - tropical fruit, strong coffee, fried eggs, bread, honey, fresh guava or mango juice. Everything you'd want to see in Trinidad is walkable from here, within 10-15 minutes. Yunio, who works there, served as our driver - for $40 we got a half day tour of Valle de los Ingenios and for $25, we were taken back and forth to the beach. Both were well worth it! Facility is clean and well kept. Room was very comfortable with an enormous, comfortable bed. Great deal - highly recommended! I'd recommend two full days in Trinidad: There's a 4 PM walking tour that starts in front of Lucha Contra Bandidos. $10 per person, great for orienting. Do this day #0 if you get in town soon enough. Day #1 - The beach (Playa Ancon). Yunio will take you and pick you up. Lunch at a restaurant there. Evening in Trinidad. Go to Rin Tin Tin for a drink and to watch the sunset, but then go eat at La Botija a block away - better food and music. Day #2 - Tour Valle de los Ingenios, have lunch at the Mirador on this tour - cheap, good sandwiches with a great view. Afternoon with museums/shopping in Trinidad. We ate at La Botija again - music was too good to not go back. Casa de La Musica is highly touted. Cool setting, but much of the same band from La Botija, only tourists there, and starts at 10 PM."

"We had a great stay at Casa Carmen y Pupito. The hosts were very friendly and organised taxis for us to the beach and the mountains. The breakfast was very nice and plentiful. The property has a gorgeous roof terrace that looks across the city. "
