Adults only, it’s unfortunate we have had several rents with extensive cleaning and damage. As of June 2, 2023 our home is not suitable for children under 18.

If you must cancel and the property is re-booked, a refund will be issued less 20% and any fees charged us by VRBO (the 20% will be from the nightly rate, VRBO holds all other money and would be responsible for all other refunds.)

If you are looking for a very clean rental, this is for you. However, we expect it to be kept neat and orderly and the check out list must be followed. (For example: Clean, dry dishes put away, wipe down the kitchen and leave it with the full respect of how you found it.) A check out list is attached for your approval prior to booking.

Goose Cove Cottage located in Trenton is just minutes from the Main Entrance of Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor. Spend your days exploring Acadia National Park and the Villages of Mount Desert Island where the opportunities are endless including, many seafood restaurants, numerous hiking trails, biking the carriage paths of Acadia, whale watch trips, boat rentals, fishing, swimming, kayaking, shopping, and golf. Or visit other nearby coastal towns slightly off the beaten path, “hidden gems”.

The cottage is immaculately clean, in a like new condition complete with all amenities to make your stay comfortable, just 75 feet from the water’s edge with a beautiful view of Western Bay and the Acadia Mountains. The main floor has two master bedrooms complete with walk-in closets, full private baths, queen beds and sliding doors opening onto the wrap around deck. There is a smaller bedroom with a queen bed directly across from the full, main bathroom.
A large foyer, open floor plan with kitchen, dining room, and living room. The loft is a perfect reading nook. The cottage features beautiful cathedral ceilings, shiny floors and a hand cut granite fireplace.
This location is the perfect center point for your vacation to coastal Maine; in addition to being very close to Mount Desert Island and all its attractions, the Trenton Market Place is nearby for all your grocery store requirements. Ellsworth is only 10 minutes away where you will find a variety of stores, shops and restaurants. Just 40 to 50 minutes away from Bangor, Blue Hill, Castine, Deer Isle, Winter Harbor, the Schoodic Peninsula, Corea, Milbridge, among others.

If you need a break from the daily site seeing, spend some time exploring the shore in front of the cottage or relaxing on the large deck. Gather around the outside fireplace and relax, watch the sunset, reflect upon the day’s events, plan your next day’s excursions and maybe toast smores on the open flame.

Located just a couple minutes from the famous lobster pounds found along the gateway to Mount Desert Island where you can have a lobster and steamed clam shore dinner cooked for you, have it there or bring it back to the cottage for a feast on the deck. Cooked lobsters will stay hot for hours in your cooler!

Also close by is - Sugar Bakery & Ice cream for all sorts of fresh goodies – Site Seeing Flights - Glider Rides – Black Beard Mini Golf – Timber Tina & The Great Maine Lumberjack Show - The Acadia Fun Park which offers mini-golf, go-carts, water slide, zip line and ropes course.

Kayak rental is available – delivered to the cottage and picked up when you’re ready (3rd party vendor -information at the cottage or Google or Facebook Water’s Edge Kayak & Canoe Rental in Franklin 207-460-6350, tell them you are staying at Bill LaBelle’s in Trenton)

Bangor International Airport, with rental cars, is approximately 50 minutes away, Bar Harbor Airport (located in Trenton) with rental cars is less than 5 minutes away.

This delightful coastal community offers many dining opportunities and you will find a few menus on hand from some of the local “hot spots”.

Awesome view. Disappointing experience
The view is exceptional, and the home’s features were mostly as advertised. However, the stay was impacted by excessive reminders, like notes about removing shoes and labels on nearly everything. Additionally, despite the $1,000 per night rate, basic amenities like toilet paper were limited, which detracted from the experience. Vinyl mattress covers and the requirement to wash and dry our towels (in order to earn a good guest rating) before 10am check out just left a bad taste.

Exceeded Our Expectations!
This home itself was a vacation! Secluded and quiet but only a short drive to Ellsworth (for groceries) and Bar Harbor and Acadia NP for Fun & Food! The view is Stupendous from inside and outside, and the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and living area were exactly as described and more than adequate for our family of four. We look forward to a return visit!

Secluded Home in Trenton, Maine
Very quiet location about 20 minutes outside of Bar Harbor, ME. It’s located on the water with beautiful views but water isn’t accessible due to the type of shoreline and tides. You could possibly have a kayak but it would be challenging. It’s a nice quiet location to get away from the crowds in Bar Harbor but you have to have a car to do anything. It’s about a 15 minute ride to the Acadia National Park entrance. There is nothing physical/athletic to do so all hiking, boating, etc. has to be done in park or Bar Harbor. Would recommend bringing bikes and would only recommend house for adults.

Fantastic place to get away from it all
We were looking for something off the beaten path that at the same time wasn't too far away from civilization, and that's exactly what we got. The property sits directly off of the water but still has easy access to Acadia, Trenton, and Southeast/Bar Harbor. It was also completely immaculate. Couldn't praise it more, really. Looking forward to more stays in the future.

Beautiful bay view home
Wow! What a pristine home that looks out over a beautiful bay! Great location for kayaking and sitting on large porch and eating or enjoying the views. Plenty of space. Everything you need is in the home. Owners were fabulous in making sure we got our supplies and what stores there were from the airport. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous waterside escape
We loved our stay here, it is the most beautiful location and minutes from everything you'll want to see. The house is spacious and peaceful, and the grounds are breathtaking. The property was impeccably clean and well set up. There were a lot of rules to follow while we were staying, but I think this means that people take care of the property well. We barbecued on the deck and had a wonderful time exploring Mount Desert Island.

Heaven Away From Home
I have never been on vacation at a more hospitable place. In booking Goose Cove Cottage, every question was answered and we arrived to an immaculate cottage. Wanda was very helpful and such a down to earth person who became a friend. She had blueberry muffins waiting, brought us lobsters and helped us find activites to enjoy our stay there. I would highly recommend this home and her other home to anyone looking for a friendly, clean, relaxing place to vacation.

Exceptional Cottage!!
We had the great pleasure of staying at Goose Cove Cottage from August 27- Sept 3 2017. It was in a perfect location for us to easily access all of our excursions. The cottage itself was extremely clean and well stocked with anything we could possibly imagine needing. The view from the deck was amazing and we all seemed to gravitate there often. There is so much to do and see in Acadia and the Bar Harbor region that we will surely be back and we wouldn't want to stay in any other place. Thank you Wanda!

Beautiful home with a water view.
House was clean and organized. The kitchen was well stocked. There were instructions for each appliance. There was plenty of room for the family to spread out. Grocery stores and Acadia National park were a short drive from the house.

Well maintained home, very clean with fantastic views. The home is spacious for a larger family and has everything you would need. Just a short drive to Acadia, Ellsworth, and all the harbors. Loved the fire pit in the backyard. We slept with the windows open (screens are in) and loved waking up to the cool breezes off the water. Highly recommend! Thank you and can’t wait to visit your place again soon! One week was too short a visit!

Great home with amazing water view!
This cottage was just what we needed to truly feel like our family of 4 adults was in Maine on vacation for the first time. Lots of elbow room for when everyone needs their own space after a long tourist day. The college age kids enjoyed that they each had their own room with a queen bed. The house is well appointed and very clean. Now on to what sold us to book the place (besides the queen beds in 3 rooms and size of the home). Multiple rooms and the very large patio has an amazing water view that was definitely enjoyed rain or shine. Nice responsive owner as well.

Beautiful home, great view, convenient to Acadia.
The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked and organized. The view is amazing- I never tired of it. Games in the basement and fire pit were perfect for spending evenings together. The drive to Acadia took about 20 minutes. Easy to get into Bar Harbor for shopping and restaurants. But Trenton Lobster, Helen's and Sugar Bakery were all great options in Trenton. We all loved it there!!

Well equiped/clean house
This is the most equiped and organized vrbo I've ever stayed out. Great location to Arcadia, Bar Harbor, and even a road trip for FANTASITIC rafting on Penobscot River. Great communication with mgr who was available to answer questions and provide suggestions. We arranged for kayaks to be delivered to the property. We had a great time on the water; super calm for kayaking. Only challenge was the timing of tides - a new experience for us. With upwards of a 10' tide difference, you have to launch near high tide to avoid the mud flats. Luckily we were busy during the day because the house was very warm during the day due to the heat wave; cooled off when sun went down. Great place!
