Acadia National Park is just minutes away from this ocean front cottage. Visit there for hiking, biking and driving the park loop road then return to the quiet peacefulness of Western Bay. There is a great beach for swimming, kayaking or just searching for shells, sea glass or watching the seals swim in the bay.
Groceries are 15 min away in Ellsworth. Shopping is 20 min. away in Bar Harbor and Schoodic Point is an hour up the coast if you want to explore more coast line.

Great stay outside Acadia National Park

September getaway
We loved our stay at Emily and Bob’s place. It is a magical setting and the house is bright, well designed and immaculate. As an upper middle aged couple we appreciate the first floor bedroom with adjacent bath. Our son loved the loft. We also bought our pup! One unique experience was discovering a 24 hour cheesecake store in Ellsworth! We hope to make it back soon!

Beautiful views, very clean, well stocked with all the basics and even some very convenient extras. Found the best lobster just minutes from the house. Great quiet location if you don’t want to be in the hustle and bustle. Look forward to staying again.

The home was well maintained and it is a beautiful beachside property. My dog loved it. The neighbors were very friendly as well. We even saw a seal swimming in the distance. It was fantastic!

Beautiful setting. We loved our stay. My 9 year old loved exploring on the private beach. So close to everything—Bar Harbor, Acadia, grocery store, restaurants, mini golf, sea kayaking. Perfect spot!

Beautiful waterfront close to Acadia
We loved our stay! The home is beautiful as well as the views over the water. Great proximity to Acadia and Bar Harbor, as well as Ellsworth (restaurants, grocery store, etc). We appreciated the dog-friendly property and extra towels left for our pup!

A hidden gem
We truly enjoyed our stay, this adorable cottage was fully equipped and the view was simply breathtaking. The kids loved being able to explore the cove from the private access. Will definitely recommend and hope to stay again soon.

Quiet retreat!
I loved this cozy cabin! Quiet and secluded, but close to everything Bar Harbor has to offer. After a day exploring Acadia, sitting on the deck watching the tide come in was perfect!

Great seaside stay
The property was clean, and it frankly exceeded our expectations, accommodating us perfectly. It was in a beautiful area right on the sea. It was somewhat removed from the national park, which was great because it allowed us to escape the more heavily trafficked areas of Bar Harbor and Acadia, but was still close enough for easy access. Additionally, the hosts were incredibly lovely and attentive.

Cozy cottage…Stunning views!
Easily among the top vacation rentals in which we have stayed. The view is amazing! The cottage was the perfect mix of quaint and modern, and was the ideal size for our party of 5. Acadia was easily accessible from the property while also providing enough distance from the crowds. Excellent restaurants close by. Owners were welcoming, friendly and very accommodating. Definitely want to stay here again!

This was truly a wonderful cottage. It was perfect for us - not too fancy, not too rustic - with great views of the Western Bay and Acadia. We woke up nearly each morning to the sounds of seals in the bay - an amazing experience. Location was great, as it was easy to get to and from area attractions. Thank you!
