The Walker's Retreat by Birch Stays

Nestled in the foothills near Snowdon The Old Tearoom at Ty Llywelyn is the perfect retreat for walkers, hikers, cyclists or those just wanting to enjoy this area of outstanding natural beauty. Built in 1840 in The Old Siop has been lovingly converted by Birch Stays into a stylish 6-bedroom townhouse that can accommodate 12 guests, allowing your enjoyment of the home’s traditional features, log-burning fires, and central location to the historic and picturesque village of Trefriw.

The Townhouse
The Old Tearoom at Ty Llylwelyn sits centrally within the beautiful and historic village of Trefriw, as it once served as the local shop and tea room. The home possesses all the original features befitting to a home built in 1840, and these have been embraced during Birch Stay’s high quality renovation. This beautifully presented 6-bedroom home now combines a perfect blend of quality contemporary finishing with an abundance of charm and character.

Off the main Trefriw high street, you enter the home into the open plan living, dining and kitchen area, providing the perfect entertaining space for all guests to enjoy together. There is a large fully equipped kitchen and formal dining table for 12. A charming lounge area with L-shaped sofa, and love seat are warmed by the wood-burning stove and on the facing wall is the 65-inch Sky Glass TV.

On the first floor the spacious bedrooms are equipped with a superking, a king and twin bedrooms . There is a large family bathroom with shower and bath. Off the hallway there is a drying room to house all the equipment and clothing from the day’s activities.

The lower ground floor includes three further bedrooms, one of which is super king size bed, a twin room and a king size bed. Again, there is large family bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a handy utility space including washing machine and dryer.

There is a private sun trap garden, with a freestanding charcoal barbeque, outdoor mood lighting, outdoor loungers, and dining table which forms the ideal relaxing point for those long summer nights in Snowdonia.

There is free on-street parking opposite the home and a free large public car park 200 yards away.
