A hidden gem on beautiful Bass Lake minutes from downtown Traverse City. Nestled in a quiet cove on a dead end road with amazing sunsets for that true peaceful up north getaway experience. It is a 2 level home with 3 bedrooms, 1-3/4 baths, sauna, and 2 car garage.
The main level of this house features the living room and kitchen / dining area. This space has amazing lake views. Full kitchen with dishwasher offers everything you need to prepare meals. The main level also has a bedroom with a queen bed and a sauna room attached. In the sauna room there is a sauna and sitting area which has a single hida-bed with a large patio right outside.
For mobility challenged quests, there is a ramp into the home with a main floor bedroom and bathroom equipped with grab bars. The tile shower has a bench but the bathroom is not wheelchair accessible, it does however offer some safety features (grab bars).
There are Flat screen televisions with cable in every bedroom. High speed internet (300 mbps), and WiFi are provided. There is a washer and dryer that are you’re free to use as well.
Bass lake is an all sports lake but is very quiet which makes it especially great for fishing, kayaking, and pontooning. There are 2 kayaks, a paddle board, a paddle boat, and a canoe on site for you to use. Go fishing, swimming, or just float around (it is a soft bottom lake).
This location is only 10 minutes to the downtown area where there is plenty of shopping and dining. Go to one of the many wineries or even on one of the wine tastings. Craft beer has really blown up in the area and there are many breweries and flavors to choose from. There are air balloon rides, parasailing, and sailing cruises. Interlochen center for the arts is close by along with many other various nature trails and parks. This area has so much to offer.

Perfect stay!
This cottage is so cute, clean, very well stocked and comfortable! Sean makes it super easy with check in and check out and clear instructions and rules for the week. The cottage and property were well maintained. It really was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. Great for all age groups. We will definitely go back for another stay!

Great getaway
Our second stay at bass lake was even better than the first one which was great. There is now a pontoon available to rent which makes it very convenient. The house has everything you could possibly need. Sunsets on the lake are beautiful. And the massage chair is a real nice touch. Thanks Sean, will see you again.

Beautiful lake house
We loved everything about this property. It had just about everything we could have wanted for a peaceful week on the lake. The kayaks, paddleboard, canoe, and pedal boat were great to have available. We loved the various out-door seats to relax in, and the deck was great for chilling and enjoying some family meals. The property is well-maintained and obviously cared for!

Wonderful Getaway
Cottage was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Large yard offered several seating areas including fire pit, swing by water, deck with table and patio outside of sauna. Fishing was great. Location was perfect, quiet yet close to restaurants and TC. Will definitely consider a return rental.

Our stay was great. We arrived for check in greeted by Sean the outer the lodge and property we great we had a wonderful view. We discovered a problem with the refrigerator and Sean was there the next day to move a replacement in overall the facilities we great and Sean was great. Great week on Bass Lake!
Our stay at Bass Lake was great overall. The place is clean, well stocked with necessities and has an amazing lake view. I will mention that this lake isn’t a swimming lake as the bottom is super soft, but the fishing, kayaking and pontoon trips made up for it! A great week!

A perfect experience
We stayed at "Lake House" with small group aged 9-85. Everyone loved our stay. The house is clean, comfortable, and exceptionally well-stocked. Sean is an excellent host who communicated with us extremely well. He clearly loves the house and works hard to provide a first-rate experience for his guests. Thanks Sean! Fabulous day!
We absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful cottage. It was very close to Traverse City and it was on the peaceful bass lake. The Cottage itself for spotless and Full of everything you needed for enjoyable day. The Cottage had pontoon boat, kayaks, paddle boat and paddleboard. We couldn't have asked for more! Sean was really easy to reach and answered our calls we had any problems. Will will absolutely be coming to the cottage again! We had a great time!

Peaceful lake and great cottage
We loved our stay and will definitely look into staying here again. The host Sean provides everything needed to enjoy this peaceful piece of paradise. Our 2 year old grandson enjoyed playing on the beach and catching his first fish from the dock while mom, dad, grandma, and grandpa took turns using the kayaks, peddle boat, paddle board, or relaxing in the sun or shade with our 2 month old grandson. This is what you think of when you’re thinking “Up North” Michigan.

Family Trip to Traverse
We had an awesome stay! The property was well equipped with everything we needed both inside and out. The home was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed all the outside toys, kayaks, paddle boat, hammock, and the dock for fishing. We rented a pontoon boat for our stay and enjoyed boating around the quiet lake, fishing, and stops at the sand bar. The sunsets were beautiful! We also enjoyed the fire pits and making s’mores. We will absolutely be back hopefully next summer.

Sean and Nicole were fantastic hosts. Met us as soon as we pulled up. Showed us around. The house very clean very well stocked with everything you would need. Just minutes from TC and local grocery store. Lake is very quiet, not a lot of boat traffic at all which was great we rented a jet ski for a couple days from TC Watersports. Paradise on Bass Lake
What a glorious place to enjoy the fabulous Michigan weather and scenery. We were there for an extended stay and regretted having to leave. This cottage has absolutely everything you would want or need. Sean could not be more helpful or accommodating. We hated to say goodbye to our new friend. Everything about this home on Bass Lake is comfortable and very clean. Sunsets on the deck were magnificent. Would highly recommend this property to anyone. Sean, thank you to you and Nicole.

Wonderful property in a lesser known corner of The North!
We stayed at this listing for a low key girls’ weekend to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was just what the doctor ordered and then some! This property accommodated first six guests for one night and then eleven (the couches are great for sleeping!), finished off by my family of four - such a versatile house with such bang for your buck! The house itself is charming and very generously appointed, plus the location is out of this world! Fifteen minutes from downtown Traverse City, 30 minutes from Old Mission wineries and 10 minutes from Moomers Dairy - just perfect. Sean was very accommodating and was there to greet us and give us a tour of the house when we first arrived. The neighbors were very kind and their dog Max was just so sweet. We’re already talking about coming up again! Thank you for a wonderful weekend, Sean!

Hidden Gem!
My best friend and I took our Mom's to Traverse City for a week of adventure. This house was a piece of paradise; cozy and felt like home. The waterfront view alone was worth it but add in a cozy fireplace, plethora of extra supplies (towels, TP, etc), lovely neighbors and a quiet location to take it to the next level! Everything we wanted to do was a short 15-40 min away. Our favorites were the nearby alpaca farm (Rainbow Valley Family Farm), exploring the peninsula (lighthouse, visiting the Blacksmith and local wineries), restaurants, the lavender farm and Big Bear park. As a disabled individual, I especially appreciated the first floor bedroom and bathroom that included a walk in shower retrofitted with grab bars and a small seated option in the corner. We were so pleased with this rental and more importantly, the contributions it made to our once in a lifetime memories that will be cherished forever! Thank you so much! Hoping this gem doesn't book up before we can rent again next year.

Perfect for a Family
Beautiful lake view. All family members loved taking the kayaks and peddle boat around the islands - even in September! Wonderful deck for dinner and watching the sunsets. The house had plenty of bedrooms and comfy living area. The kitchen is well equipped. Easy communication with Sean, the owner. We definitely would rent this property again.
