Country Home, outdoor spaces, secluded but close to everything

Nestled in a peaceful, wooded valley on scenic Grandview Road just a mile from the West Bay of Traverse City, this multi-generational home is our offer to your family and friends.

Three bedrooms with brand new beds, fully equipped kitchen with induction stove, a living room that's spacious and comfortable, and a dining/family room that, like the living room, looks out through picture windows on a serene view. It also features spacious yards and a back patio for private outdoor dining.

The house is close to many attractions in the Traverse City area including a slew of wineries, breweries, fine or casual dining and a wide variety of local shops. It's the gateway to Leelanau County including the Sleeping Bear Dunes, as well as many miles of beaches and parks on Lake Michigan. We're also a short distance from the TART recreational trail

The host is nearby and available upon request. We've lived here all our lives: we can guide you to the right beach, recommend the best dining options, and more.

Perfect Up North Retreat
Great location. Close to everything but not in the busiest parts which I appreciate as I’m looking to get away from that when I head up north. Quiet and wooded. Would stay here again.

Secluded but close to town
The house is old, but functional. The property is wonderful. Loved walking in the woods with our dog. Tim was friendly and very helpful. He left us milk and muffins for breakfast. 😀

Grandma's house
The house was as expected based on the description and reviews, and it met our needs. It was fairly outdated and smelled a little musty, but it was clean. In particular, the bathroom was somewhat updated and very clean which was appreciated. The outside areas were great and spacious. The host was super nice and helpful and very responsive.

Wedding weekend
Stayed here for a weekend while we attended a wedding. Super close to downtown and the venue. But far enough from everything to enjoy the quiet of up north.

Great Find!
We loved it here! Being that it wasn't right on the beach or across from the beach made it affordable for us. And there are so many public beaches and places to pull over, we didn't need it to be on the beach. And this cute little house with it's mid-century modern furniture and look, just felt like home to us. It was very relaxing. You do need to know there isn't any AC, but the house is shaded, we opened a few windows and we felt great. Loved the fresh air in the house! Also, the hosts left us english muffins, butter and some milk in the fridge for our breakfast - so thoughtful!

Great Stay close to town
Great location close to down town but still secluded. We enjoyed the horse shoes in the yard and the fire pit area. Plenty of space inside for our family of 5 to rest and relax!

Location was great. Beds were great. Having an extra half bath was really nice. Recommend airing the place out and closing the basement door prior to arrival. Musty smell was pretty strong. We opened windows and lit fragrant candles and it helped.

Perfect location to explore TC and surrounding area
First the owners were very responsive in answering some questions we had before booking, and in making us feel welcomed. The location was convenient to get into TC or anywhere on the peninsula. The home looks just like in the pictures and is very tidy. Cozy living room, comfortable beds, clean kitchen and bathrooms, plenty of seating areas inside and out. Grandma’s home was perfect for our group of six. We had a fantastic stay!
