"We were excited to stay in downtown Idar Oberstein since previously we had stayed a bit out of town. Sadly, the experience was lacking and bordered on depressing. I want to be quick to say that some of this is not the property's fault. Idar Oberstein is struggling like many small German cities within maintaining a vibrant downtown. "Unser Aufenthalt war richtig schön. Das Zimmer war sauber und sogar frisches Wasser wurde täglich in unserem Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt. Bis in den Orstkern war es auch nicht so weit. Abends konnte man mit einem Wein aus dem Weinkühlschrank auf der Terrasse den Sonnenuntergang betrachten, mit Blick auf die Mosel. Rundum ein richtig toller Urlaub :)"

"This is a very unique property in that you check yourself in through a machine and locate your room by yourself. There is a communal dining area where you can prepare your own food. We had an issue with noise, being at the front of the hotel, and the manager who was present in the morning moved us and upgraded us to a remarkable room with a balcony! This is a beautiful property!
