#1 Haven on Hughes is a clean modern, newly refurbished 2-bedroom unit in a peaceful corner of Hermit Park, located close to the city and to many of the main attractions in Townsville. Walking distance to shops, approximately 3km to Queensland Country Bank Stadium - the home of the North Queensland Cowboys and less than 5km to Magnetic Island Ferries

The unit is fully air-conditioned, has free Netflix, unlimited Wi-Fi and everything you need to make this an enjoyable home away from home.

FULLY-EQUIPPED KITCHEN: Cooktop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, all pots and pans etc, knife set, kettle, toaster

PANTRY: Tea, coffee, sugar and condiments

LAUNDRY: Internal laundry. Washing machine, hampers and outdoor washing line to suit the warm tropical climate

LIVING: Smart TV with ability to log in to your own streaming services and watch anything you would at home; board games for those lazy holiday afternoons; office desk, Kitchen table and ample space to relax and enjoy yourselves.

BED 1: You will find a comfortable queen bed with stylish furnishings and and a great sized wardrobe.

BED 2: Two comfortable single beds for the convenience of flexible sleeping arrangements. This room also has ample wardrobe/storage space.

BATHROOM/TOILET: A brand new Bathroom with large vanity, shower and separate toilet.

All linen is provided. A second set of linen can be supplied for stays over one week.

Guests will have full, private access of this self-contained unit.

There is a covered carport and additional off-street parking if travelling with a boat or a trailer.

We keep in touch via email or text messages and we are available by mobile for any questions that you may have.

There are regular buses around Townsville, with the closest bus stop a 700m walk. However, as with most Aussie regional towns a car is always the easiest way to get around.
Taxis and Uber are both also readily available within Townsville.

This is a ground floor 2 bedroom unit which is fully secured with security doors and screens. The external grounds are protected by CCTV cameras and entry to the unit is via a unique private key code which is only valid for the duration of your stay.

We stayed for a week at the apartment. Easy to locate, everything was clean & ready for us to settle in. Close to everything that we needed (grocery store, football stadium, and local attractions). The appliances were all easy to use, and had manuals if required. The air conditioning works very well & quick to cool the house down. Beds were comfortable. Our hosts were easy to communicate with & easily contactable when we needed to discuss anything. Overall, we loved our stay, would recommend to anyone & would stay again next time we’re in town.

Short Getaway
The property was quiet and peaceful but we had three problems. There was a problem with the fridge and we had to endure three nights and days with the terrible noise like a plane taking off in the unit. They did purchase a new fridge but there were difficulties with delivery, given the noise we experienced they should have known about this problem earlier. The unit had no lighting or signage which made it very hard to find particularly at midnight. We arrived during a unusual cold snap and there were no additional blankets
