Beautiful Property
The property is located in a beautiful location right on the Little River. The cabin was charming and in excellent condition. The property manager was prompt to respond and very kind. We had no issues at all during our stay. I would definitely go back if I am ever in the area again!

Peaceful side of the Smokies
We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful property right on the river in Townsend. It was a great location for entrance into the park. The building is historic but renovated nicely and plenty comfortable. If you are a light sleeper I recommend a white noise app because the noise does carry between rooms. We were so happy to stay here on the peaceful side of the Smokies and not in the busy/crazy towns!

Weekend wedding
We drove to the Strawberry Patch Inn after work not expecting much more than a play to sleep before the wedding the next day and to our surprise, we found a nice, clean, quite and relaxing spot that we certainly would recommend to anyone!

The area and location is beautiful! Wendy was super nice and helpful. The only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star is because me and my mom barely got sleep, we were in a room downstairs and heard the people above us all night long- walking around and talking, amongst other things.

Convenient location
The location was great…close to amenities and the entrance to the national park. Plenty of places to eat in Townsend, plus a grocery store. The apartment is part of an old cabin from the 1800’s, which was great but it was really easy to hear the people in the apartment above us. We were lucky they were on the quiet side. The creek side location made it feel quite peaceful even though it is located right off a 4 lane road.

Lovely log cabin very close to the Little River. We could sit on the porch and watch the herons. unfortunately it was cold during our visit so we couldn't spend as much time on the porch. Loved the little library on the porch and exchanged a book I had finished on our trip. I loved the quietness of the area. So glad we didn't stay in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge.

Vacation
The property and check in and out process was great. The cleanliness of the window treatment needs much attention. That is why i gave 3 stars on cleanliness. There needs to be more toilet paper left in the cabin. The fire pit does not emit heat. It is a solostove. Other than that, it was a great stay. Thank you soo much.

7 is not a lucky number
This place is called strawberry patch inn. Which isn’t named anywhere on Vrbo to be able to look up reviews. Very nice property BUT we came in for a big event so there was only one person handling check in at time of arrival Quiet time rules which is no biggie BUT being in room 7, you can hear EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. From conversations, laughing, walking and even more stuff during quiet times. I had to use the blow dryer to cut out sounds I didn’t want to hear. Also, the room temperature is not controllable in the room. You have to contact the property manager to adjust the temp. Bring blankets bc only 1 is on the bed and nothing extra We were only provided 4 towels for 2 adults staying 3 nights. Beautiful scenery but some money needs to be put back into the property to sound proof it.

Townsend
Great place to stay away from distractions like TV and all the touristy areas like Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The sound of the river was very soothing and we even saw herons two days. The kitchette was adequate to fix breakfast each morning and we cooked simple dinnners two nights. The refrigerator is small so you can’t buy groceries for a week. Wendy talked us through checkin and could adjust the temperature remotely

Nice
Good location, clean, easy check in. Nice primitive decor with all necessary amenities. Keep in mind, rooms are not sound proof, but this didn’t bother us. It was a quiet, peaceful stay right on the water. The water pressure and longevity of hot water was fantastic! The only thing I would recommend is to have a throw blanket in the rooms as they are not individually heated and we got a bit chilly in the early evening. Temperature was good most of the time, but it would offer another personal touch. Looked like a nice common area outside, but it was cooler weather, so we didn’t get to take advantage of that area. Thank you!

Highly Recommend
A wonderful, cozy cabin at the foothills of the Smokies. The owner did a great job making this historic log structure a functioning guest house. No frills, yet all the modern amenities needed to enjoy the stay. I came to fish for a couple of days, so this served as a fantastic fishing retreat. Fully stocked pots/pans in kitchen. The walls are a little thin, but the quiet times after 9:30pm made it a non-issue. Wendy (host) was wonderful to talk with, made check-in very easy, and was positive and accommodating. The porch has a humble little book exchange cabinet - a nice touch! No TVs in the unit, which was ideal for me. Being right on the Little River, I was able to open the main doors and enjoy the sounds of the rushing water. I will absolutely consider coming back if I am in the area again.

Clean and great location!
Lindsey checked us in as Wendy was away on a family emergency. She made sure we had everything we needed including a drip coffee maker instead of a Keurig as we brought our own fresh ground coffee. And to add to it there were fresh cut flowers in the kitchen area and on the outdoor patio table outside our door. Loved that! We did enjoy our stay along the river drinking our coffee and eating some meals on the patio table. On the beautiful sunny days, we sat out along the river and read. They have a book exchange box on the porch as well! Also had some entertainment as a lady played her banjo while we were relaxing after a day of driving the parkway. We did lots of hiking as well in the Smoky's. So was nice to come back to room for a nice hot shower! Great water pressure! As others have stated, the walls are thin. Even though the listing says no children, there was a family with children above us. We could even hear the dad tell his son to be quiet as we were below them. lol But all in all peaceful except right before bedtime. Thank you, Wendy and Lindsey, for helping us to have a great time in the Smoky's! We will definitely consider coming back.

Mixed Bag- Great Property, Poor Mgt
Great property. The cabin is rustic and charming and has a wonderful location right on the river. The home is lacking some basic necessities though. No digital thermostat, No TV.....Both were inconveniences. The home was clean and as described for the most part. The management left plenty to be desired. We arrived and were locked out. Apparently the owner insists that you check in 48 hours prior to arrival in order to get the code. As a guest, I don't want to study the mice type of the check in process. The check in process should be simple and clear....and I've never heard of having to check in 48 hours prior....this is totally unacceptable. The check in instructions (including door code) should have been emailed to guest prior to arrival. I had to call owner to get code and she proceeds to keep me on the phone for 20 minutes fumbling around trying to get the code and then INSISTS that I do a detailed tour of the home with her on the phone so she can talk me through every operating feature in the home. When I told I wasn't going to do that because we were tired from driving and just wanted to check in our home, she got a huge attitude and started reprimanding me for not checking in 2 days ago. A completely tone-deaf manager ,who has unreasonable expectations, micro-manages. and is not utilizing basic technology like all of the other homes to communicate efficiently with guests. Overall- Good Stay but can be improved with some easy changes to management. .
