Luxury Tiny Cabin “Sly Fox"

Enjoy the "peaceful side of the Smokies" for a lot less. The smallest crowds and the most beautiful views!

Luxury finishes with a deck and fire pit.

This peaceful tiny cabin is nestled in the woods in Townsend Tennessee. It's a perfect choice for glampers keen to escape for a bit!

The studio cabin is "just-right-for-2" cozy with a comfortable queen-size murphy bed, plush linens, and full private bathroom. Brand New Mattress as of 10/30/23. Quiet getaway in the woods. The tiny home has modern amenities including Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV to stream your favorite apps. (There's no TV cable or satellite feed, but you're welcome to log in to your favorite streaming app through our Wi-Fi.)

The kitchenette has the cutest red retro fridge/freezer, a microwave, coffeemaker, 2-burner stovetop, outdoor grill, plenty of counter space, along with kitchen basics such as dishes, glasses, and silverware.

What tiny home is complete without a great outdoor space? We gotcha' covered! Check out the deck & fire pit--yeah, we love that fire pit too :) We even provide a bundle of firewood and a gift bag of S’mores! Plenty of stores in Townsend sell bundled firewood should you need more.

Enjoy a quick sandwich at the picnic table or fire up the gas grill for a hearty burger after a long hike in the park. There's even a full size sandpit for a friendly game of horseshoes.

The cabin is set at the base of Thunderhead Ridge, a 25-acre getaway with beautiful views and plenty of tranquility. You can cast in a line or float tube down the Little River, just a quick 2-minute drive from the cabin. Trout fishing is popular up-stream inside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. In summertime, we offer access to a luxury community pool about 5-10 min away. You can even book a round of golf at Laurel Valley Golf Course. Also, no need to worry about unwanted disturbances and traffic – Thunderhead Ridge Cabins is a secluded property.

Perfect getaway!
Sly Fox cabin was the perfect place to stay the night before and nights after our wedding. It was very private, quiet and beautiful as the fog rolled in every morning! Feeling like we didn’t have neighbors was our biggest want and we got it, so much that we were able to say our private vows right on the patio with the fire pit without a single noise except the birds. Communication with the property manager was excellent and I would 100% stay here again!

I guess I should have done better research. The cabin is cute. However, it wasn’t comfortable. It is one room plus a bathroom. The murphy bed was horrible. The pillows were well used and flat as pancakes. Apparently the trash bins on the property are for the community. Absolutely no privacy. Surrounding neighbors (renters) pull into the driveway to dispose of their trash. So much for sitting outside enjoying the fire pit. The cabin also has an odor. If you’re a custom to tent camping or being more outdoorsy..I do not suggest renting the cabin. We left after one night.

cute rustic little cabin off the beaten path
PROs: nice quiet location, private but not far from town, firepit/wood, sturdy secure entry door, covered porch and tin roof when it rains, cute furnishings, good air conditioning, comfy mattress, basic wifi, all the basics like fridge, freezer, kitchen, clean bathroom and good water pressure. CONs: No scenic view from the cabin, but plenty of surrounding trees. No dvd player and unbearably slow internet so watching a show, movie, or youtube video- even with low resolution, means it pauses for at least 30-45 seconds every 2-3 minutes (arrgh! - not exaggerating), and I had to get my own batteries for the remote because the ones in it were dead when i arrived. Shower stall is small, but clean and manageable, just mind your toes around the broken drain grate. Flies & gnats are relentless if you're trying to sit outdoors in the late afternoon / early evening. A gap around screen door handle lets bugs in if you don't shut the main door. Had to hunt around for pillows - found them in trash bag hanging in the closet. Recent Youtube search history was "80s Music Sex Mix" so we slept on top of the bedspread with sheets and blankets we brought (just in case) and used our own pillow cases. Summary: I'd say it's an OK spot, pretty good. Better than an average hotel room, but with room for improvement too. The Manager answered the phone right away and was nice when I called to check-in before entering the property. I'd recommend this location to any person or couple who'd like a quiet private rustic and humble place to stay, and who plans to spend most of the time outdoors exploring and adventuring, with a decent place to come "home" to... But I'd recommend bringing your own blankets, sheets and pillowcases - and maybe your own DVD player, HDMI cable, and movies.

Amazing little tiny home
Jeanne (co-host) was awesome anytime had any questions or issues she was quick on responding. The little tiny home is so cute and cozy. Will definitely rent from them again next time I'll get the bigger ones for the whole family. The location is perfect just outside of the busy towns and the views were the best in Townsend. Better than a hotel. Plus it's private can't see any nearby people

Perfect and Affordable!
My friend and I spontaneously chose this lovely place based on the perfect little town, fire pit, and of course for it being a tiny home! We’re really young and in need of a break from college so Sly Fox was the perfect getaway! We left a little piece of ourselves in the new Guest Book and hope to return to read your adventures :) 10/10 !!!

A small table or even foldable TV trays would be a great addition to this property especially on the days it’s too cold to eat outside or there is 8-10 inches of snow on the picnic table . Otherwise we were satisfied with the rental.

Charming little cabin
When I arrived, it was dark. The cabin was well lit and warm. It was cozy and clean. The cabin was located far enough away from the crowds of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but close enough, I could drive over and check out the Christmas lights without being inconvenienced.

Great getaway!
Chelsey was great to work with and very accommodating when we arrived into town earlier than check-in! This property was the perfect place to spend a quiet few days in the mountain! Property was easy to find, not far from town but far enough away to spend a relaxing and quiet night on the deck with a fire going! Cabin was very clean upon arrival and had all the amenities you would want including a tabletop stove, full sized fridge and tv and WiFi hookup! We were overall very impressed with our stay and will consider this property when we visit in the future.

This cabin was just perfect for me. The location was amazing too; maybe a 10 minute drive from the national park.
