Breathtaking Sunrises in the Smokies :: A Cabin for Families near Cades Cove

With a breathtaking view of the Chimney Tops, Mount LeConte and all the glory of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Sky Haven Lodge overlooks Laurel Valley from atop the foothills of the Smokies.

After a restful night's sleep on one of 5 beds (spread through 3 bedrooms and common spaces), wake up each morning and enjoy coffee on one of 3 decks with views for miles (no, literally -- like, 13+ miles!) and air so fresh your lungs will thank you.

From there, take your time making plans for the day in your spacious 2,700 square foot getaway. With two common areas, a large dining area, game room and a gigantic loft, there's space for everyone to kick back and have fun.

Enjoy breakfast (or lunch or dinner!) in our 10-seat dining area or outside on the screened-in porch.

What to do? Oh, the list is endless! Stay close with a tee time at Wild Laurel Golf course or head over to the clubhouse pool and get refreshed. Just around the corner are numerous outdoor adventures for the entire family, including: Hiking, rock-climbing, tubing, kayaking, fishing and more! If you'd prefer to take it easy, there are several scenic drives nearby, and beautiful Townsend with its local shops, crafts and restaurants is less than 8 minutes away.

Of course, you're also just minutes from Cades Cove, the Tuckaleechee Caverns, and Clingman's Dome, with the Island at Pigeon Forge and Dollywood/Splash Country both just 40 minutes away.

When your day is wrapping up, enjoy the fire in the sky at sunset. If it's cold, cozy up next to your gas fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa. And as the night gets dark, head up to the top deck for unparalleled stargazing.

An exterior security camera monitors the parking area, giving you extra peace of mind. While smart thermostats provide maximum comfort and smart locks so you'll never have to keep track of a set of keys!

The Perfect Cabin
Our family enjoyed our stay. There was more than enough space to spread out and relax. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and made check in simple. We definitely plan to come back!

Stunning View. VERY clean cabin.
Beautiful, relaxing and extremely clean cabin. The views from the multiple decks are stunning! Communication with the host was great! We had everything we needed for our stay. There were numerous bear sightings while we were there, too. We enjoyed our stay so much and will definitely be back!

We had a great time visiting the mountains. We were visiting the area to celebrate our son’s graduation from UTK, but did not want to stay in Knoxville.This was a perfect location for us.Simple 30 minute drive to the airport and about a 45 minute drive to campus.We hiked, we golfed, we ate great food at Dancing Bear Bistro, we enjoyed coffee on the porches in the morning and we even saw a bear right on the property!! The home had everything we needed and more!

Spectacular Scenery
The views are amazing at this house! A very beautiful place, I wish we had more time. Our group of 8 had plenty of room. We had an event in Maryville and also wanted to spend some time in the Smokies so the location was ideal between the two. Chris was friendly and responded immediately to any questions we had. The fitness room was well equipped and clean and the pool was inviting but we never got a chance to swim. The road to the house is very steep but we all managed just fine. We will be happy to stay again if we ever have the opportunity.

New years trip!
We booked this cabin for my parents 50th wedding anniversary and had a blast! Townsend is such a nice area. Quiet but also close to Gatlinburg so we took the kids to the aquarium one day. We took a good hike to a waterfall, suitable for kids one day and it was gorgeous and so fun. The cabin was perfect for all of our diff families to sleep and we enjoyed the fireplace, cooking together, playing games including the pool table and old school Mario was a blast! The owner wrote back immediately whenever I asked something. Will stay here again and again hopefully!

Nice Cabin - Everything we needed
This was probably one of the nicest interior cabins that we have stayed at! There are no TV’s in the bedrooms, just living rooms, but that was honestly very nice! The adults nor children resorted to rooms and watching tv and we all spent time together as a family! This cabin had everything we needed! Beds were super comfy!

Great place
We had a wonderful time and the cabin was what we expected and more. The weather was wonderful also. Only thing we found odd was that the trash had to be taken to a garbage location and if it were snowing or ice on the ground I don't believe we could have made it there with a minivan.

It's hard to find the words to say how awesome it was staying in this cabin! It close to everything, but quiet at night. Everything was already set up, all we had to do was go straight to the cabin and start our vacation. Very clean, with great comfy beds !

Our annual fall sisters/ husbands trip is always such a fun time. We love Sky Haven Lodge. It is perfect for three couples. The hosts are always readily available should the need arise. Sunrise from the balcony is always beautiful and those views definitely make it hard to say goodbye when it is time to leave.

Family Time with plenty of room!
This place was just as seen in the pictures, well actually more beautiful, the views were spectacular and the house had all the amenities you could need, we had plenty of space and everyone enjoyed the big family dining table where we could all gather around! Didn’t see any bears in Cades Cove the day we went but when we came back to the cabin there was a momma and two cubs that crossed the street just yards away from the cabin! It was fun and the (Adult) kids are already wanting to make this an annual event! The hosts were great and even made it easy to extend our trip and quickly responded to any questions we had. Was an awesome weekend in the TN mountains!

Beautiful but
This was a very nice property with great views and not to far away from all the action. Our group has stayed at many 5 star properties over the years and this was right there with the others. Some constructive criticism would be to have some shampoo, body soap and lots more hangers. There were only 3 hangers and we had to go out and buy these items. We would have brought them if we knew. I sure would recommend this place and will probably be back in a few years as our group moves around to different properties.

We were in town for the Great Smoky Mountain half marathon and to visit the park. This was the perfect location for both. The cabin is absolutely beautiful! There was plenty of space throughout the three floors, gorgeous views, great balconies and everything you could want for an enjoyable stay.
