"This a nice little house in Alferton, it was great for myself, a friend and my large dog. It was well equipped and comfortable. It was a little dated upstairs and there was no photos of details of the bedrooms but they were clean and well catered. My friend who stayed in the back room noted the boiler (which is in that room) is very noisy and kept her up but that wouldn’t bother some people. "This was basic accommodation with no frills. Ideal if you are just looking for something very basic to sleep and spending the evening in. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival. The kitchen had everything if you wanted to self cater for yourselves. The only person I spoke to during my stay was a stable hand. I never meet the owner. I would be happy to stay here in the future."

"This is the forth time we have stayed here and it is still perfect for our needs. It does cold at night in winter and it was very cold outside for our stay. It is lovely and warm downstairs, however the large bedroom needs more blankets on the bad which had been provided. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return. "

"The quality of the property, particularly the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms, is a bit shabby - feels more like a 'Home of Multiple Occupancy' than a holiday cottage. The big living space is great, though, ideal for the ten adults and 2 children in our group. Adding to that, the hosts add lots of thoughtful touches like leaving some milk, snacks, board games and numerous brochures and guides for local attractions. Some other reviewers have mentioned the busy road; don’t let that put you off, be assured the property is not on the busy A road, but is on a local road which does get light traffic, but it is not at all bothersome: you won’t hear it from inside the house. "The plus side: Nice clean cottage, welcome basket with fresh bread, haribo sweets, wine. Flowers on table, tea, coffee, sugar and even treats for the dog. Sky/netflix. Bed very comfy.
