"this was our second lenghty stay at the Majoren. August 2023 was the first. As was the case last August, we again enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's a nice boutique hotel very close to the train station and central square as well as the university. The station (trains and buses) is a 10 minute walk away. "We booked a couple of nights at this property. There are two buildings, the main one where the reception is located and another building close by where we stayed the first night. As we arrived on a Friday evening, we had a room on the first floor of the annex which has a bar under it that closes at 2am so we could not sleep until then. "The property was clean and tidy and had a good selection of kitchen utensils to use. The location was lovely, based in an old estate with not much else around. Perfect for nature lovers. Nearby to lakes and lovely forest walks."

"This hotel is across the street from an ICA grocery store. Although I did not use it my room had a stove. The room also has a refrigerator, sink, dishes and cutlery. Nice break on my trip from restaurant food. There are not a lot of restaurants within walking distance but I tried He Longs asian food and pizza at Restaurang Viktoria; both were tasty. The hotel provided the basic Scandinavian fare for breakfast. However, the best part of this hotel is your host Andreas! I best describe him as friendly helpful and accommodating! When I enquired if there was a laundry room he said to put my clothes in a bag outside my door. When I asked for the cost he said no cost. I am not use to businesses being that nice. He is a fine and rare human being. We also had many interesting conversations. "
