Truely outsanding villa and location
We had such an amazing stay at the Villa which was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The views are spectacular from the various view points around the villa. Carlos has to be one of the best hosts we've ever had when renting properties!! We'd love to return soon.

Hilltop paradise
The drive up the hill the first time was interesting, but Carlos the owner met us at the bottom to show us the route.The villa is lovely with amazing views. We were 4 adults with a 4 and 2 yr old and barely left the villa as it had everything we needed. Carlos the owner couldnt be more helpful, to the point that he took time out of his working day to take us into town when our son was unwell, spoke to the Doctor and took us to the pharmacy. If you are looking for a relaxing oasis from the hustle and bustle, then this is the place for you

A slice of heaven
I can't tell you how beautiful this house and it's outdoor spaces are. There are so many places to relax both together or privately. Carlos is such a good host, available immediately for any problems but also doesn't encroach. He is such a nice man! The house is better than in the pictures. Its so well equipped with utensils crockery herbs tea coffee, all the essentials. Air con in all rooms, good wifi and cable channels. Agree that you the climb down and up to the house is something you might only want to only do once in a day, but you can't get those views without that climb. We had the most amazing week I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Carlos and family :)

Absolutely fantastic
We couldn’t have more praise for the property, or for Carlos the host. A great welcome and tour of the property, and he was available during the week to help with restaurant bookings etc. The property is superb, well equipped and enjoys fantastic views. It is completely private with a great pool, hot tub, outdoor cooking area and multiple places to sit and enjoy the facilities and views. Be aware that it’s a little drive up from Torrox into the top of the hills but you soon get used to that. It can only be accessed by a car though, walking and public transport would not be possible but it’s worth the effort for the views and the privacy. Highly recommended.

Beautiful villa up in the mountains
The house is located about 12 km above Torrox in the mountains. It has a wonderful view of the coast and the surrounding mountains. The house is in very good condition, clean, large and well furnished. The pool was unfortunately still too cold for swimming at the beginning of March, but in summer it is certainly a pleasure. The host Carlos is very helpful and extremely friendly. He is always ready to help and available if you need him.

Amazing villa!! Everything a family could need for a holiday. The kids lived in the large pool.
Wonderful place - well looked after and thought out. The pool was cleaned every 3 days and Carlos who could not be more helpful and polite. We got used to the steep drive up the hill and it is well worth it for the incredible views!! A lovely gem of a villa. We will be back - can’t fault it at all!! Thank you Carlos and family for an amazing holiday in Spain and your lovely Villa :)

Stunning way to take in the Mediterranean
The views, presence of Carlos and property made this place a perfect spot for us to enjoy Southern Spain. We had a hard time leaving the stunning views but traveled to Cordoba, Frigiliana, Sevilla, Granada, Nerja, Malaga, Ronda and of course Torrox. I would come back in a hear beat! The only thing you need to know is you want to drive up to the house only once each day, so make sure to get groceries before you head up the first time and plan your day accordingly.

Fantastic house
We had a wonderful stay at this fantastic house in Torrox. The house is great, the view over the mountains and the ocean is spectacular, and the pool is fantastic. We and our 2 children used the pool a lot since it was very hot during our stay in July. We also loved the new area with the jacuzzi. We also want to mention the host. He is very friendly and helpsome. Any issues are fixed asap. Should we travel to the Malaga area again, we will choose this house again.

Amazing Villa
We are just back from a weeks stay in this beautiful villa and will certainly be booking again. The villa was spacious and clean and the outdoor area was very luxurious. The remoteness of the villa meant it was lovely and peaceful with breathtaking views over the hills of Torrox. Carlos (host) kindly escorted us to the villa, which took away the worries of getting lost! He gave us advice on local areas and responded promptly if we had any questions, we could not have asked for more. Thankyou for a great holiday! The Johnsons

Amazing villa
Wow! By far the best villa we have stayed in. Carlos greeted us and nothing was too much for him , he was a great ! The villa was spotless throughout, pool was amazing, veiws were amazing, gerdens were even better. A car is a must, it was a further drive up from the coast then where we usually stay but i quite enjoyed the daily drive. Did the drive put me off? No way! Once at the villa its amazing. Thanks for a wonderful holiday carlos, we hope to see you again next year 👍

- the host Carlos is great. Super friendly, helpful, involved on the background. Wants to give you the best stay you have ever had. - what you see on the photos is what you get. The villa is really beautiful. They thought of the tiniest details. Everything you need is present. - the location makes you feel king of the world, on top of one of the hills, beautiful sceneray, great view from the terrace and from all the rooms. Though it requires a 4 min drive off road, on a steep slope. But without this, no such a great view. - it was very clean - Nerja was really nice and only 20 min drive. - I really recommend to book this villa. -

A Slice of Heaven
We had a fabulous vacation at this beautiful home and stayed for two weeks. The views are stunning of the mountains and the coast. It was slice of heaven sitting outside everyday for our morning coffee and tapas in the afternoons. Carlos and his family have anticpated everything that you will need for your holiday with your family. It even has two large fridges in the kitchen. If you need anything or just want restaurant or day trip recommendations - Carlos will respond immediatley. Before we left - we booked our return visit to this wonderful place. That says it all. We wish we could give it more than 5 stars!!!

It's like your own private resort... Loved it
Carlos and his father have created a wonderful getaway located within a short drive to Torrox. The accommodations are bright, spacious, well equipped and clean with a panoramic view overlooking the surrounding area, Torrox and the Mediterranean Sea. The property also has a pool, hot tub, table tennis and lounge chairs to relax. We were even able to pick a few ripe oranges for our breakfast right off the tree. There are avocado, almond and orange orchards nearby. Carlos responded very quickly to any questions or concerns we had. Suggest getting groceries from Mercadona in Costa-Torrox (free underground parking if you spend 20 euros in groceries). The drive up to the villa would be sketchy at night but OK during the day. Be sure to visit the sights in Malaga on your way to or from the airport. Enjoyed the walk along the beach in Costa-Torrox. Best host ever...Thanks Carlos...

Heavenly House Rental
We stayed for two weeks at Los Almendrales summer of 2014. We have travelled many places in Europe and the views from Los Almendrales were spectacular and we felt that we were in our own paradise surrounded by beautiful flowers and greenery. The home gave us the perfect place for a peaceful, relaxing holiday that offered us total privacy as a newly married couple. The house was well finished with everything we needed and Antonio (owner) was available if we needed him. The pool was kept sparkling clean and there were several areas around the house that offered choices for sun or shade at any time of the day. We enjoyed exploring the restaurants in Torrox and Torrox Costa. This place is an absolutely fabulous choice for a heavenly getaway vacation. Thank-you Antonio for sharing your stunning home/property with us.

Wonderful place to relax!
We (a family of three) had a wonderful time in this beautiful villa! Located at the top of a little hill the sight is extraordinary - to the ocean as well as to the mountain side! The location itself is very quiet and therefore a perfect place to relax. Nonetheless you can reach the nearby villages and the beach within a short drive of about 15-20 minutes. You can also use this place as starting point for the attractions in Andalusia: we visited closeby attractions like e.g. Frigiliana and the Nerja caves as well as the cities of Malaga (just 40 min away) and Cordoba. The house is very spacious and has everything you need including a good wireless internet connection which our sun loved. As indicated the house provides air conditioning in all the rooms for an additional small price dependent on the actual use (during our stay in October the climate was perfect in the house so we didn't need it at all!). An additional plus are the wonderful owners Carlos and Antonio who are very kind and helpful when you need anything! We definitely recommend this villa and will come back to this place the next time we visit this area!

Incredible villa
From the moment we booked this place I knew we had found a gem. Carlos was very helpful with information via email before we even arrived and provided superb directions to the meeting point that made it completely stress free even without satnav. We were then escorted to the property which took about 20 minutes up mountain roads and the track up to the villa itself. This drive is quite steep but can be done with a standard car and the views never got boring the whole time we were there. The villa itself has obviously been built, furnished and presented with love & care and Carlos and his father are quite rightly very proud of it. Every important detail was covered in the handover and we were made to feel very welcome and immediately felt right at home. The pool area and barbecue is a great place to hang out with plenty of space and beds to relax on. Inside, the kitchen has everything you need including 2 x fridges which came in very handy! Bedrooms are spacious and pretty cool even without the aircon but at night this was great to make for a good night's rest. I cant fault this place and I would love to return in the future - my kids havent stopped talking about it ever since. Many many thanks to the owners for making our stay so memorable!! Mountain paradise
When you are trying to choose somewhere to stay for a holiday there is always a fear that the property will not be as good as the pictures suggest. In this case the property far exceeded our expectations - this villa is a slice of heaven atop a beautiful mountain! Carlos is an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. Communication at the time of booking, before our arrival and during our stay was immediate and so helpful. The villa is so spacious and welcoming and full of thoughtful touches. We enjoyed fresh morning juice from the orange tree and watched beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the horizon every day. Carlos thoughtfully helped us navigate the winding road up to the villa on our first day (we arrived in the dark) and although it is nerve wracking at first we soon got used to it, although we organised our time to make sure we only descended and ascended once a day. The climb is really worth it for the fantastic views and the seclusion. Carlos explained where we could buy wood and we enjoyed the fire indoors at night. The outside space is top class. We paid to use the spa and it was lovely to have a dip in the pool before using it. There is plenty of seating for dining and relaxing in all the areas. We didn’t use the fire pit but it is a lovely addition to the space. We stayed as two couples and didn’t want to leave! Overall we would thoroughly recommend the villa and would love to return if we can manage to reserve another time.

Best holiday ever
The property is stunning, set in an absolutely amazing location with epic views of the coastline. Just a short drive into the local town. We can't fault the amenities or the property. Lots of supplies already at the villa such as hand soap, washing up liquid, loo rolls etc. Great host who was very welcoming and continued contact throughout our stay, couldn't be more helpful. Wunder schöne 2 Wochen
Wir waren Mitte September 2024 mit 3 Personen bei Carlos. Die Villa ist mindestens so schön wie auf den Fotos. Es war alles sehr sauber und gemĂŒtlich. Der Pool ist gross genug. Wir liebten vor allem den Whirlpool jeden Abend. Die Aussicht auf das Meer und in die Berge war atemberaubend. Das Haus ist komplett ausgestattet, mit allem was benötigt wird. HandtĂŒcher und BettwĂ€sche waren vorhanden. Carlos als Gastgeber ist aussergewöhnlich freundlich und Ă€usserst hilfsbereit. Er war jederzeit erreichbar. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, ist dort genau richtig. Ein Auto ist zwingend erforderlich. Die Anfahrt zur Villa ist abenteuerlich, aber gut machbar. Wir danken Carlos fĂŒr die schöne Zeit und kommen gerne wieder.

We have just returned from a stunning 2 weeks relaxing in this amazing villa Los Almendrales. From the moment Carlos meets you he is beaming with a smile and the most friendly welcome, it just kick starts your holiday. It’s around a 15 minute drive up the mountain following Carlos for the first time which is a lovely touch so you feel more comfortable with the drive before he shows you around the property and makes you feel completely at home. Like previous reviews the pictures simply do not do this property justice. The views in every direction are simply breathtaking. There are so many different areas on the terrace so you can enjoy the mountains or the ocean in the distance overlooking Torrox. We stayed as a family of 4 with our 2 children aged 14 and 15. The swimming pool was a big hit and we had many hours of fun. Inside the property is set on 3 floors with all the amenities you could possibly need. A car is essential I would say for this property as you are up in the mountains. We will definitely be back in the future to enjoy another idyllic escape.
