Nicely presented property in a very convenient area.
Pros: The garden and pool were beautiful and the house was very clean and well presented. The owner was also very helpful and courteous and responded to queries straight away.
Cons: The garden was not as private as we wanted. The rental property is actually attached to the owner's and, although very helpful and friendly, he was in and out of the garden a lot, at varying times of the day, and even at one point brought an estate agent in while I was sunbathing, without prior notice/arrangement. He also occasionally brought his dog in with him, although he is a really lovely people-friendly German Shepherd. This is the only property we've stayed in, over many years in the same area, where the garden wasn't completely private (apart from the 'pool man' a couple of times a week on set dates).
Although there were two good-sized bedrooms, the internal living space in the property (combined living room/kitchen/diner) was just big enough for the two of us. Frankly, I think it would have been cramped for four people, when not spending time outdoors in the lovely weather. No English television available for evenings in.
